Looking forward to more times like this. Love being alone in the wilderness; the challenge, the silence, the mental toughness required. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
A fun scouting trip a few years back. We camped on the only flat spot a long a spine ridge. There was Mountain goat hair everywhere around our tent and to this day my son remembers it as “camping where the goats sleep”.
If this shell casing could talk I wonder what it has seen, what it was used for, and the stories it could share.
Up close and personal!
Having a fire in the tent during those late season adventures is incredible. Not only does it allow you to dry things out, but its also great company.
Red sky in the morning sailors take warning. Red sky at night, sailors delight. As ironic as it is, I think it snowed that afternoon 😂.
I’m no expert, but I’d say this has been here awhile.
A boy and his dog!
Sparks across the morning sky. Always nice to have a wood burning stove in the tent. Makes it nice and toasty!
Mountain sheep on the lookout.
