OU ballroom dance club takes on the ice rink!!
This past Sunday we had the privilege of having some representatives from @fredastairebloomfieldhills dance studio come to our class and teach a lesson in waltz and rumba. It was a pleasure to have them and hear more about all of the incredible things that are going on at their studio!!

Today is the day!! Looking forward to seeing all of our dance friends at the welcome dance tonight, and then competing at 19th Annual University of Michigan Ballroom Dance Competition tomorrow!
Spectators are welcome and encouraged! Cost is free for students and anyone under 18yrs old, and $10 for adults.
We had a successful bake sale this past week, thanks to our wonderful club members who baked all of the yummy treats, and to everyone who came out to buy the goodies! We are pleased to be donating a portion of the proceeds to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. #forthekids

Yesterday we had the privilege of having Prashanth Rajarajan, a champ competitor, come to OU and teach our club a lesson in latin chacha & rumba! It was so fun to learn something new and meet such a talented dancer!!

The first newcomer practice of the winter 2019 semester is officially happening, and we are THIS excited about it!!!! Meet us in the Rec (studio 919) at 9pm tomorrow (Feb. 4)!! We can’t waitttt!!!!!

The Ballroom and Latin Dance Club at Oakland University is offering a Valentine’s Day themed dance lesson! Bring your special someone (or come solo!) to learn the basic steps of some romantic dance styles. The cost is $10/couple, or $7/person at the door. If you or your guest are not OU students, a daily pass for the Rec Center is available for $10 at the front desk.
Due to OU’s closure tomorrow, the newcomer lesson is cancelled. We apologize for the late start to this semester of dancing, but we look forward to seeing all of our newcomers next Monday, Feb 4, for our first official newcomer practice!!

Merry Christmas from BLDOU!!! This past Friday our club made 16 tie blankets for Fleece and Thank You, an organization that provides a colorful, welcoming fleece blanket for children being admitted to the hospital with life-threatening illnesses. We had a blast serving the community together and crafting these fun gifts! #FleeceNavidad
