My alarm clock. I love being woken up by a stroppy poodle hitting me and throwing her toys at me.
We now have a bed and a Moaning little pup
I wish he was as innocent as he looks
Just another picture of Lucy in the van that no one asked for.
Spent yesterday surrounded by lambs and their mums. So cute to see them interact and play with each other.
One is free, the other is not
Fun little day out in the van yesterday. The dogs love it. Henry already knows which one is his van, he has a thing for sniffing every car, its very weird
Separation pens. Common practice in dairy farms in both the UK and USA. They are used to separate the calf from its mother usually with the first few hours of its life. Reducing the amount of milk taken from the mother(profits). Farmers believe this helps to track the growth of the calf and allows them to ensure the calf gets the vital nutrition from colostrum(the first milk). They also believe it helps identify if a calf is sick or showing signs that it is not eating enough therefore they can monitor its development. Other reasons include reducing stress to the mother, some cows are just 'bad mums' and reducing injury to the mother that a calf may cause. Sounds lovely right? Well just imagine being forced to be pregnant then having that child taken away from you before you could even care for it. Or being that child alone in a small pen looking for your mum. It just doesn't sit well with me.
I will say it again, the North pier is the place to be. Jungle Jim's has apparently gone and I'm not sure the dinosaur ride is in the tower anymore either 🙁
I'm so happy with the van and can't believe after so many years we finally have one. My mum once said she wasn't worried about how I would be because she knew id be off in a van somewhere and now it's coming true. Can't wait to get the dogs and Leo and just go off somewhere.
Sun has gone so I'd like to leave Blackpool now please. Thinking of chucking a mattress in the back of the van and just fucking off for the weekend. Let's see if we are on the right track for a camper or if we have spent weeks ruining a perfectly good van.
I think we can all appreciate the strength in Lucy's pose. I have been out done by a dog. The van is starting to look good/little bit like and egg but I'm ignoring that for now. Also picked out how we want the kitchen to look today. Very busy. Get me out of Blackpool ✌️
I look at things completely differently now. Things that I use to see as fun and use to participate in I now see as completely fucked up. I was naive and just wanted to be with animals but now I see it from their side. Would I want to carry people up and down the beach all day? No, so why should they. Doesn't matter how well they are treated after, its still making someone else do all the work for you to claim all the benefits.
Apparently the North pier is the place to be.
Winter Gardens is one of my favourite buildings. So many fun memories too, like being snuck in by the cleaner through the back door to see the killers and then most recently watching the wrestling there.
Fucking fuming with me
Winter Gardens, Blackpool
Moscow, I think
