The Art of Building the Impossible” is the story of how human imagination turns into fire and steel. It begins as a fragile idea on paper, shaped by calculations, failures, and relentless belief. When engines ignite and the ground shakes, it’s not just machinery lifting off — it’s years of precision, courage, and thousands of minds working as one. Each stage that separates is proof that progress demands sacrifice, and every deployment in orbit is a reminder that limits exist only until someone dares to challenge them. What once seemed impossible slowly becomes engineering — and engineering becomes history. 🚀 #nasa #isro #roscosmos #india #spacex

A picture perfect splashdown 🌊 Welcome home, #Crew9! NASA’s SpaceX Crew-9 mission carrying @nasaastronauts Butch Wilmore, Suni Williams, Nick Hague, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov splashed down off the coast of Florida near Tallahassee at 5:57 pm EDT (2157 UTC). After a long-duration science expedition aboard the @iss, the crew completed hundreds of science experiments and technological demonstrations that will benefit humanity, and prepare us for future deep space missions. Video description: Framed by a light blue sky and tranquil azure sea, the SpaceX Dragon Freedom spacecraft is seen descending. It is suspended by four large orange-and-white parachutes. The drone capturing this footage tracks to the right as the capsule touches the surface of the water, and its chutes follow gracefully. The most intense 10 seconds in space. 🚀✨🛰️🌌💥 This high-definition footage captures the crew of a Soyuz mission bracing for impact as they return to the steppes of Kazakhstan. The Physics of the Thud: Unlike the SpaceX Dragon or the old Apollo capsules that splash down in the water, the Soyuz lands on hard ground. To survive, the capsule must execute a perfect sequence: shedding the heat shield, venting excess fuel so it doesn't explode on impact, and finally firing the "soft landing" engines at the absolute last microsecond. The dust cloud you see in external shots of a landing is actually the blast from these engines. Bracing for the Gs: During re-entry, the crew pulls between 4G and 5G, but the moment of impact can spike much higher. Astronauts are trained to stay completely "limp" but braced, ensuring their arms don't flail and their jaws are shut. It’s a primitive but incredibly reliable way to get humans back from orbit a design that hasn't changed fundamentally in over 50 years. 2026 Status: As of today, Thursday, May 7, 2026, the Soyuz remains a critical "lifeboat" for the International Space Station. In 2026, we are comparing the landing data of the Soyuz with 2026-standard automated landing systems on the newer commercial capsules. Interestingly, 2026 engineers still look at the Soyuz's mechanical "spring-and-shock" seat design as the gold standard for protecting human spines during emergency "ballistic" re-entries. The Final Roll: Because the capsule is shaped like a headlight, it often tips over and rolls after hitting the ground. The crew has to wait, hanging in their straps, until recovery teams arrive to physically pull them out of the cramped hatch. A masterclass in survival engineering. 🔭💎 ✨ Would you prefer the 'car crash' landing on dirt or the 'big splash' in the middle of the ocean? How would you celebrate your arrival into space❓ 👨‍🚀👨‍🚀👨‍🚀 On 28 May 2014 @astro_alex_esa and NASA astronaut Reid Wiseman under the command of Russian cosmonaut @suraevmaxim rocketed into space in a Soyuz spacecraft. For Alexander and Reid it was the first time they saw Earth from space. Strapped atop 274 tonnes of rocket propellants delivering 26 million horsepower, it took only six hours to reach their destination, the @iss. Alexander worked as a geophysicist and volcanologist before he was chosen as one of our astronaut in 2009. During his Blue Dot mission an extensive scientific programme of experiments in physical science, biology, and human physiology as well as radiation research and technology demonstrations took place. All experiments made use of the out-of-this-world laboratory to improve life on Earth or prepare for further human exploration of our Solar System. Something stinks on the International Space Station The Russian spacecraft, Progress 90, docked to the ISS Poisk module and it didn’t just bring supplies—it also brought a foul odor. The unpleasant aroma was strong enough to prompt astronauts to close the hatch connecting it to the rest of the space station and initiate anti-contamination procedures. Two Russian cosmonauts onboard the International Space Station began a spacewalk on April 19. NASA said that Sergey Prokopyev and Dmitri Petelin were expected to spend six hours and 37 minutes outside of the International Space Station. Their task is to move a Roscosmos radiator, that weighs 1,091 pounds (494.8 kg), from the Rassvet module to the Nauka science module. A European robotic arm is also taking part in the task. #Space #Roscosmos #Spacewalk #RussianCosmonauts #NASA #WorldNews

कमेंट में ज़रूर बताएं और अपने दोस्तों के साथ भी इसे शेयर करें !🙏✨ 📸 Photo Credit: NASA 📍 Location: Caspian Sea and Middle East (Viewed from ISS) #Space #EarthFromSpace #NASA #Roscosmos #CaspianSea

It's launch time‼️ 🚀 The European Robotic Arm (ERA) is set for launch on a Proton rocket to the @iss on 21 July 2021 at 16:58 CEST. The first robot that can ‘walk’ around the Russian part of the orbital complex will be launched with the new Russian Multipurpose Laboratory Module (Nauka) from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, in Kazakhstan. The launch can be followed live from 15:30 CEST on 21 July 2021 with ESA Web TV broadcasting on our two channels Roscosmos and @NASA coverage from the launch site. 📹 @roscosmosofficial

Docking confirmed ✔ An uncrewed cargo craft successfully docked to the station’s Poisk module today at 12:19 p.m. EDT, delivering nearly three tons of food, fuel, and supplies to the Expedition 69 crew. Progress 84 lifted off on a Soyuz rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan earlier this morning; the resupply ship will spend roughly six months at the orbiting laboratory before undocking for a destructive but safe re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere to dispose of trash loaded by the crew. #nasa #science #progress #docking #international #space #station #roscosmos #soyuz #expedition69 #exp69
