Last summer I was stronger as ever before. To feel my body this way was motivating me even more.

Yesterday’s Acro training was the worse I’ve had for a looong time.
Nothing worked out and I was almost crying during the training. I was and I’m still so disappointed about my yesterday. Feels like I kinda lost everything I’ve learned in the last months.
But still, acro is my true love and I decided to train and focus more than ever!!!

Chin-ups in the 70s!!! 💥💥💥 My client Sue just hit a PR today for chin-ups, AND with the thinnest band possible! Prior to today her best was one rep (+ a half rep). I was telling her I want her to focus a bit more on bracing and leg engagement (I am very picky), but this is awesome, and is no joke!!

📌 Included is a variety of other shoulder strengthening 💪exercises I provide to patients. The big selling points are they are convenient to set up and give a lot of bang for your buck. They can be set up with a band or cable column at the gym

1️⃣ is my go to variation of face pulls – doing it this way helps hammer 🔨the mid/lower trapezius as a result of the diagonal arm placement. Adding the rotation component brings in more 💪 rotator cuff involvement as well.

2️⃣ is the face pull variation you’re likely more familiar with. The difference here is it’s more rhomboid and posterior deltoid biased. Beneficial but IMO less 🙅♂️ worthwhile to include as you likely already hit those muscle groups pretty hard with your typical lifts.

3️⃣ is an easy way to hit the mid/lower trapezius (if you perform it with your arm higher up) or the rhomboids and posterior deltoid (if you perform it with your arm straight out.) Can also be good for a 🔥warmup

4️⃣ is another rotator cuff variation. This one is more for someone who has a hard time 😓learning to isolate/lead with their rotator cuff with other rotator cuff exercises.

Pull-ups! Pull-ups! Pull-ups! My favorite exercise. I figured after doing front squats the least of my favorite exercise I’d treat myself with my favorite. 4 sets of 8 and a superset with some ab roller workouts. And of course with 2 chains!!!! I strongly suggest and highly suggest incorporating a pull-up routine in your workout if you haven’t already. They workout your whole back ( depending on your hand placement determines what areas of your back) your shoulders, your biceps, your hands and grip strength, and even your core. If you can’t do pull-ups, tie a band on the bar and attach the band to your feet to help you. I’ll show in the next video how to do that. Keep working! There are so many days that I don’t even think of what I do as a workout! It’s like being a kid on recess, you are having so much fun you forget about everything while enjoying the moment. This has not always been the case for me. I used to wanna be that big guy in the gym who could put up the big weights but it began to take it’s toll. Through listening to my body I knew there was a change that needed to be made. My body was beat up and my joints and tendons had enough. My ectomorph body type is not meant to handle the kind of stress I was placing upon it. I started by reducing the amount calories I consumed and the amount of weight I tried to move. I then began to adopt more calisthenics exercises which evolved into ninja training and now an all around functional fitness style. It has taken me years of learning my body to get to the fitness level and overall wellness.
