Every president, every executive office has always gone to the Fed and said, "Do what I say." And the Fed being independent says, "Well, wait a second. We have a dual mandate. Every 10 years for the past 400 years, this little town in the German alps gathers a cast of thousands and stages this most important theatrical event—the crucifixion of Christ otherwise known as the Passion Play. This show is sentimental to me as I was the director of our school version of the Passion Play from junior to senior year—don’t ask what year. Can’t believe I’m here in @oberammergau.de where this historical performance is experienced. People from all over the world come here to see and be moved by this soectacle. The costumes and staging are on another level. Just seeing the photos and sets alone gave me goosebumps. Some moments in life are meant to stay tucked away in your heart forever… but every now and then, a moment happens that feels too powerful not to share — because maybe, just maybe, it will inspire someone else to reconnect, to feel deeply, to remember the people who helped shape them. ❤️🙏✨ Today was one of those moments. At 50 years old, I am still blessed to be good friends with my hall monitor from 10th grade back in 1992 — Mrs. D. ❤️ She was more than a hall monitor… she was a loyal friend, a loyal supporter, and truly one of my biggest fans. When I used to sing with Purple Rain, she never missed a show. When I played Jesus in the Passion Play, she was there every year — 25 years straight. Through every chapter of my life, she showed up with love. Life hasn’t been easy for her lately. Within just a few months, she lost her husband and her son… and recently moved into an assisted living community called Juniper. This morning, something told me to call her. I asked, “Mrs. D, how do you like your new home?” She said she was adjusting… that they keep her busy… and she told me about her schedule for the day. Then she said, “At 2:30, there’s going to be a singer… a guy named Johnny Bones.” I said, “No way — I know Johnny.” The second we hung up, I called him and said, “A very special friend of mine just moved in. I’d love to come surprise her and sing a few Bobby Darin songs.” Without hesitation he said, “Absolutely.” 🙌🎤 So I went. And before I sang — which she had NO idea was coming — we danced. We laughed. We shared a moment that felt like stepping back in time, yet somehow even more meaningful now. ❤️💃🕺 When I got ready to leave, she held my hand and said, “You’re one of the ones I will never forget… you’ve always been in my heart.” I looked at her and said, “And so are you.” People like her… they mold us. They guide us. They help shape who we become. I’m grateful beyond words for today. And for her. And for the reminder that love — in all its forms — never fades. ❤️✨ UPDATE… It’s with a broken heart that I share Mrs. D passed away yesterday Dec 6, peacefully in her sleep. Now she’s in the arms of our Lord and Savior… Call that someone you love

The first Passion Play took place in 1634 after villagers in Oberammergau vowed to perform the suffering, death, and resurrection of Christ every ten years so no one would die from the plague anymore.
