I did something big today. I resigned from a job I've been at for nearly eight years. Tomorrow will be my last day as a bedside nurse as I move into the next chapter of my life by accepting a nurse practitioner position. I'm beyond excited to embrace this new opportunity, but my heart feels heavy as I am leaving a place where my coworkers have become my family. Thank you to everyone on CVU for growing me as a nurse and as a person and for your support in my future endeavors. Here's to leaving familiarity and routine and embracing the unknown! ❤😊

Just in a YEAR alone, I've seen myself SHIFT into an entirely different person and despite of it being exciting it's also a very PAINFUL process
.
When 🌸METAMORPHOSIS🌸 happens in your life, you gain something extraordinary.. But at the same time SACRIFICES are to be made, and these are equally as great
.
These sacrifices I like to call the process of "shedding old skin" can come in the form of anything, from bad habits to old ideals.. Usually in my case however, they come in the form of "friends" (which is actually the combination of both bad habits and old ideals lol) 😂
.
With every state of 🌱GROWTH🌱 I've attained... I've 🔥BURNED🔥 a bridge
.
As much as the idea seems quite saddening, it really hasn't been sad at all.. Through experience you will learn to STOP watering dead plants and save that energy for something more productive 💪
.
I've learned the important lesson that you are 👉👉👉NOT OBLIGATED to make people see things from your renewed perception if they've chosen to stay in the state they are in
.
.. and most especially the lesson that some people are meant to STAY In certain chapters of your life, and nothing more 🤷🏽‍♀️
.
However, despite the people I've lost, wonderful ones have walked into my life, one's that have lately inspired me greatly🤩 .. Ones I know that will play a vital part in my life at this point ❤️

IF 🌟 "Life is a process of becoming"🌟.. Then I'm going to trust the process
.
So far so good 🙏 can't wait to see what lies ahead from this point! Thank u, NEXT!

I'll be 35 in a couple weeks and I've spent most of my life feeling like a square peg in a round hole, never fitting in. I've lived in 8 states and I've always felt like I didn't have the right clothes, didn't like the right music, that I was too tall, too quiet, too bookish. As a girl growing up in a small town, I tried desperately to fit in and then I tried really hard NOT to fit in, as most of us do as teenagers. A few years ago that I realized how how much those experiences had held me back from living the life I really wanted for myself. I was letting my past dictate my future. Sound like a familiar tune? 🤨

I've always marched to the beat of my own drum, sometimes even while rocking pink hair, converse and a Fraggle Rock shirt. Oh, I still get haters and I still get judged but I'm no longer ashamed because I've realized I belong everywhere and no where and the reward is great. I am living a life I love, a life I've designed with the love of my life by my side, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us. Thanks to the coaching opportunity, all I need is wifi and a dream. 🏕🏝✈️
