So, I thought it would be fun to start a weekly installment called #traveltipstuesday , and offer some of our best tips on how to travel with kids, because traveling with kids is pretty much all we know! .

This first tip might be obvious, but itβs been a game changer for us! .

Plan D O W N time doing something J U S T for them! So obvious, right?! But when we go on trips, itβs usually to a new country, and weβre usually running from place to place trying to soak it all up in the few days we spend there. Our kids get so tired of us dragging them from place to place and constantly being on the go, that itβs draining for everyone involved, and quite frankly not worth it! .

So, we cut back on what we want to see and do, and we schedule a day (or half a day, or even just a few hours) thatβs just for them. For us, that always involves swimming! Bonus points if the swimming pool has a beautiful view like this one at Lingganay Boracay Hotel Resort, in the Philippines. This trip and that pool was near perfection! Their down time rejuvenates them and makes for the rest of the trip to be much more pleasant...for them and US! #thelovellylife
