A lot of things around me recently have felt busy or messy or hectic or just anxiety provoking for no real reason I can yet understand. For a while I retreated, opted for sleeping in over morning workouts and for resting at home over running around this crazy city and seeing all the people who matter so much to me. Last week I promised myself that I needed to get back to ME to feel more like myself. Since then I’ve made daily activity (workout class or long walk or outdoor run) a non negotiable and found new ways to spend time growing the relationships around me despite feeling busier than ever. It’s crazy how fast I started feeling like myself and the world around me started making more sense just because I put myself first again. Next time I’m feeling down, I’m counting on you all to remind me that the fix can be so easy!!

I had the best time at last night’s @wellnessmeetup talking all things health and personal development w/ @mollysbest & @remarnold while trying out the nutritious and RD approved menu at @broken.coconut! New friends + old friends + yummy healthy eats = one happy (but tired) babe this Friday morning!!
After a busy weekend I’m ready for Monday and using the day to set myself up for success this week. Today this means taking some time for myself at @8pointwellness after a busy work day before dinner with @josephlerner. To say this was a Sunday rest day would be an understatement, but hey, sometimes you need to listen to your body even if that means never leaving the apartment (and never even putting on pants 😂).

It’s officially #nychalfmarathon training season. Yesterday was my first official training run and hit 5 miles on the treadmill thanks to @aaptiv & today was cardio cross-training thank to @chelseajfoss at @soulcycle. Now excuse me for the rest of the night while I let my legs recover in this lavender epsom salt bath . . .
Day ✌️of eating breakfast on Amtrak this week while doing a little traveling for work. This weekend I came across this banana bread topped w/ the goods thanks to @plantifulalexandra. I’ve been too busy to make my own and seriously sad about it, so I was so happy to see that @tonehouse #thfuel had pretty much this exact breakfast on the menu this week. So today’s train breakfast is actually making my day - almond butter, blackberry chia jam on gluten free banana bread YUM! Happy #toasttuesday !! 📸: @plantifulalexandra
Yesterday may have been January 1, but today is officially the first day of 2018 back to the grind. I knew I’d be tired after our long weekend away with friends, so this morning I treated myself with a @soulcycle workout to make sure I got up and moving to start this work week on the right foot (even if that meant waking up to a 5:15 am alarm 😬). I’m personally skipping the toast this morning and looking forward to my post-sweat egg muffins but didn’t want to leave you loves without your #toasttuesday - so I’m throwing it back to the avo toast I dug into during last week’s mini staycation from @twohandsnyc. I think it’s sufficiently drool worthy!
💥2018💥This year I’m holding myself accountable: more intention, less guilt, more inspiration, less comparison, more focus, less excuses, more movement and less holding myself back. This year, I’m not resolving to be or change anything, but I will promise myself to keep building the best life I can for myself and those around me.
