My most complicated knit to date. I definitely understand cables much better now. I'm a bit disappointed in the way the colors worked out so I'll probably knit another eventually in a single color yarn. I'll block it when I bring in the tree and I know that's going to be really satisfying. Pattern is Tannenbaum Tree Skirt from @knit_picks #MerryKnitmas Yarn is @lionbrandyarn Thick & Quick in Crimson.
@sirsly killin' it at The Neptune.
Cauliflower, roasted garlic, and Asiago soup. Perfect for a meatless Monday and cold evening.
The cables are difficult to see but so far, so good! One tree down, two to go. I'm a bit sad that the yarn ended up being a lot busier than I expected but I think it it will look good when it's done. Tonight's knitting companion is a mug of hot chocolate. Made with San Gines cocoa, topped with some homemade whipped cream and cinnamon sugar.
*casts on, screaming internally*
Christmas gift number 1: done. Yarn is @knit_picks #TheBigCozy in Bittersweet Heather and Noble Heather. I haven't been posting much of my knitting lately because the sweater I'm working on is more amorphous blob than anything else. The issue with posting #christmasknitting is that the recipient many end up seeing it. Basically, knitting life is struggs.
Foggy Fall mornings.
The garden isn't the lush jungle that it was in the summer but as the weather cools and the crops are transitioned, there is still the promise of growth and greenery.
My knitting bag is finally seasonally appropriate (and will be through Christmas 😁). A slow morning registering blood donors means a solid start on my second sock.
One of our P. O. P. club kids drew me. Pretty much spot on
For anyone wondering what I used an entire can of pumpkin for (instead of 1/3 cup). Four and a half dozen zebra chip pumpkin cookies.
Looks like pork carnitas, smells like pork carnitas, tastes like pork carnitas. Actually jackfruit carnitas! This was my first time working with jackfruit and I was nervous that it would turn out weird but everyone was quite pleased with how it compared.
Charred broccoli with a lemon tahini sauce and Parmesan broiled tilapia. Less than 20 minutes in the making, easy and delicious.
