Nothing like some radishes to brighten your day
I built a plant press. It's a bit janky but it works. I need to make a couple adjustments as well as load in some cardstock before trying it out.
The haze is back but it's still a pretty nice day for a ferry ride
Pickled some bloody mary garnish made with beans, mouse melons, cornichons and shishito peppers from the garden. Also pickled some Okra (as well as some in the garnish mix) from @alvarezorganicfarms. Glad I can get some fresh okra up in these parts!
Between my garden and @themissacupcake garden, we've got quite the bounty. Top to bottom, left to right: Grey griller zucchini Rhone de nice zucchini Yellow zucchini Pickling cukes Aunt Molly's ground cherries Jewel nasturtiums Mouse melons (sour gherkins) Sweet million and San Marzano tomatoes Parisian cornichons Royal and green beans Shishito peppers Lunchbox peppers
One of my goals this year is to finally finish a sweater which I'm starting now that I might finish by, oh, January 😅 I picked Lightweight from @knitbot Essentials and I'm having a much better time about it than my previous attempts. The clear, simple instructions help considerably (no surprise over the late 1970's book I tried last time....)
Baby cascade hops and a fully grown mouse melon
Finished my Hermione's Everyday Socks. I quite like this pattern and I love how it worked up in this coppery yarn. Yarn is Fyberspates Vivacious 4-ply in Verdigris.
Found a cast iron cornbread pan for $1.50 yesterday. Before and after
@themissacupcake has quite the bountiful garden. Pumpkins, peppers, tomatoes, and even baby corn
I finally got around to labeling my canning from a couple weeks ago. R->L Spiced Plum Jam Peach Maple Jam Blueberry Maple jam Honeyed Apricots Bourbon Cherries Peach Melba Jam Rye Cherries Homegrown Dilly Beans
I built this sweet ramp so the kids at @bellevuefarmersmrkt can do zucchini races! I made a pretty cool contender.
