Writing session on the beach.
Don't forget. I know you feel it too.
Perfection doesn't exist, it's how we deal with our imperfections that is inspirational. Be yourself. As if you had a choice.
Playing in the snow during an epic snowboard trip to VT. Turns out powder days also have good acoustics for recording in the woods. This song is called fishbones. This idea for the song is inspired by going through the thought process and realization that sometimes even when you get what you want it doesn't turn out like you expected. Learning to be ok with the process of the pursuit and not just obtainment. #iLoVermont
Stocking up on swag for Costa Rica. I just got 250 custom stickers made to take south for the winter. The design is from some poster art I did a couple months ago. To me the design depicts leading with your heart into any situation. Even if the situation is uncertain and maybe a bit scary. Attempting to approach everything with compassion and understanding. Something to strive for and something to believe that will guide us into our ever changing evolution. Plus it looks cool.
All of us are capable of changing the world as long as we don't mind who gets credit. I've been watching the snow fall and gathering things for winter adventures. Just finished my first song in a while. Feels good.
"But she could never leave it be so don't forget to fear that underdog. And rise don't hide those wild eyes and hear that midnight call."
"Most of these people wear identical disguise. This mirror has reflection but still asking who am I. All of these very shiny things can never tell the whole truth is too big so reflections rebel. Born to be strange until the rest change. It is what it is no need to explain. Don't start a revolution just cause you're bored. Make sure you know what the rest of us do it for. Have faith in yourself." Thanks @wfbrewery For a sweet place to rock out.
That fine line between believing things are out of your control and believing you are actually manifesting your own reality.
Getting stoked for Costa. Following passion and inspiration hasn't lead me astray yet. Something tells me this is going to be the most epic season yet. I'll keep you posted. ;-)
"The heart it tries to stall sometimes reminds me that it's dying. Supposed to have 6 cylinders but only 5 of them are firing. The wind is at my backside I can see it in the grass. Still have to drive the right lane watching everybody pass. Someday gonna miss this struggle, someday gonna laugh. Someday gonna tell my story if someday I get back. Meditate in motion where the rubber meets the road. For a moment this movement makes a patience in my soul....And I pray. Pray that I get there." Clip from a Maine craft Distilling show. Cool spot. Can't wait to play again this Thursday. Nov. 30th. 4-7pm. Thanks @mainecraftdistilling
The day getting dark at 4:30 is tough for me. I like to be outside and it's harder when it's dark and cold so early. However I always look forward to breaking out a collection of warm fun socks.
Got another show at Maine Craft Distilling in Portland ME. This Saturday Nov. 18th. Come on down. @mainecraftdistilling Having a blast with poster Art.
Gotta get some footage of pretty thing while they last. Fall colors happen quick. Last week they were vibrant and this week they got hammered by a Nor'Eater. I made a quick music video of the colors with a song I wrote recently. The song is about a dream journal. The full video is uploaded to my vimeo account. The link is in my bio. I <3 #maine
The season is changing fast. It's nice that surf season is back but the summer weather is all but totally gone. Thoughts of the tropics are creeping in.
So, I officially sold the van. It's been sitting in the driveway for months. With me debating what to do with it and myself. I ended up buying a truck just to get around. I put my mattress in the back and filled it with a few toys. It's no van but it will do. One Van, blown engine included : $200 bucks.
Jammin in a field. Enjoying some sun.
Just got back from 9 days in the wilderness of Maine. Playing with the bears, moose and coyotes. It was amazing to remind myself and see for the first time some of the beauty of my home state.
