**Transformation Tuesday!** If you saw the pic of me ugly-crying Saturday after I read a post in my accountability group, you'll soon understand why. Jennifer has given me permission to share this with all of you. So before I say anything else, let me share a little bit of her story in her own words... "4 months ago, my son, Mason, was born 6 weeks early. He was in the NICU for three weeks then had to have stomach surgery. During this time, I didn't have the best diet. I spent countless hours in the hospital and usually ate fast food only when my husband told me I had to eat. After Mason was finally home I went to a new gym and had a session with a personal trainer. She had me step on the scale in the middle of the gym floor and chastised me for being heavy. She gave me a lecture about being pre-diabetic while people walked by. I left there in tears and balled my eyes out in the car. Two weeks later I got a message from Michelle. Since having her as a coach, I lost 6 pounds and am back into my pre pregnancy shorts and pants. I now have the stamina and strength to do one of my favorite things....running with Mason. I can't being to thank Michelle for all the encouragement and support. Everyday when I didn't feel like working out I would see messages from everyone in the group and it would motivate me to exercise. I no longer look in the mirror and pick apart my body. I get stronger everyday and work on being the best version of myself. This journey has just begun for me and without my coach I would have never gotten to this point. Thank you Michelle. You are strong, encouraging, inspiring, and supportive. I could not have gotten here without you!" And honestly I'm ugly crying all over again just re-reading this. THIS is why I do what I do. THIS is why I post silly sweaty selfies. THIS is why I spend time connecting with new friends and reconnect with old friends/acquaintances. You just never know who might need the message. I know I'm biased but I truly believe that everyone can benefit from these groups. I have two upcoming groups on October 16th and October 23rd and I would love to see some new faces! Please direct message me to chat!
Dessert idea! Berries with unsweetened shredded coconut 🙌🏼
Can you imagine how much better our surrounding world would be if each of us actually lived up to our potential? ✨
These beauties made some ridiculously delicious soup yesterday!! 😋 I 💗squash season!
Be extraordinary ✨
#latergram I made this Mexican baked spaghetti squash the other night and I've been enjoying the leftovers for a couple days! I don't really measure things out but I'll do my best to share my recipe!! 😊 Cut spaghetti squash in half and scoop out the seeds. Drizzle olive oil salt and pepper and put cut side down on a pan covered with foil in the oven at 450 (some people prefer a lower heat, I like to roast my veggies at a high heat) for about 25-35 mins depending on size. When your fork easily pierces the back, it's done. While that's roasting, brown ground turkey in a little olive oil with bell peppers (I didn't have fresh so I used TJ's frozen peppers) Season to taste with the following mixture of spices or use taco seasoning: Garlic powder, onion powder, salt pepper, chili powder, cumin, and oregano. Once the meat is done and the squash is cooked, flip the halves over and scrape the flesh to loosen it. Top each half with some of the meat, a bunch of Trader Joe's salsa verde, and a little cheese and broil until the cheese is melted. I ate a little over half of the small one and I was stuffed. So yummy!
When your 4 year old is taking up the bed anyway, what better way to start the day than with an early morning workout!! Beast: Bulk back is done! 💪🏼 I still use a resistance band to modify, but I'm hoping to advance to pull ups soon enough. 🙌🏼 Happy Saturday! 💗
Smoothie bowls are life! 😋
This was my last dinner of my 3 day plant- based detox...Moroccan carrot salad, veggie broth, and a vanilla fresh protein shake with pure orange extract. I had a headache day 1 from not having coffee and I was a little tired the first two days but today I felt great! I can't wait to find out my results tomorrow. Keep an eye out!! 🙌🏼
#transformationtuesday !! I am SO proud of one of my current challengers who recently shared her success and she also opened up and shared a part of her story with our accountability group. I asked her if I could rephrase some of what she said so with her permission here is a little bit of her story: I have personally known this amazing lady for years but have been closely following her on Facebook over these past couple years. She suffered two heartbreaking miscarriages very close together and shares her story with others in hopes that it will help spread awareness and let others feel ok to talk about it too. I have reached out to commend her for this and to check in occasionally. One day she just popped into my head and I reached out and invited her to my next accountability group. She told me that the timing was perfect and that she could really use something like this. Well, just a few shorts weeks later, she shared with our group that she really needed this not only for her physical health but her mental health because of all that she's been through in such a short amount of time. It feels amazing to feel comfortable in our own skin again. And it feels wonderful to fit in smaller clothes again!! But the most INCREDIBLE feeling is the growth and healing that happens internally. I am so honored that I am a part of her journey and I can't wait to see what else is to come!! 💗
How fun is this?! I got home from therapy and there was a package waiting for me! I got yet another prize for hitting some personal goals with my business last month! Can't wait to use this blanket 😊 Parents, if you haven't yet heard of Daily Sunshine, we need to chat! 🙌🏼
