When planning a wedding, the first step is to think big picture- find a venue, find a photographer, find a dress, create a guest list.. the list goes on and on. A wedding, like anything else, is a series of decisions, and it is often the ones that seem least important that make a wedding special. Whether it is a pair of handmade earrings, a tie embroidered with your names, or a bouquet of your mother’s favorite flowers, there are countless ways to make your wedding unique and timeless. All of these little decisions can seem overwhelming in the moment, but there is no more rewarding feeling than seeing them all come together on your wedding day and in the photographs forever! What was the hardest decision you had to make while planning your wedding? . . . . @maureensbuffalowholesale @arh25
Sometimes even more meaningful for me than capturing the ones who are the center of attention on a wedding day is capturing the reactions of the people who have known the bride and groom their whole lives. Giving your son or daughter away is a bittersweet moment for most parents. They have helped mold their child into a beautiful adult and are thrilled to see them start the rest of their lives, but it also marks the end of an era where their child relied on them for everything. As a photographer, we have the unique luxury of being able to focus on each and every member of the wedding. While everyone else is focused on the bride and groom, I have the opportunity to see the wedding from multiple perspectives and capture the reactions of those who mean the most to the couple. Photos like this one are some of my favorite because, until we share them, no one except me has really seen this point of view. Tag someone below that you couldn’t have gotten to your wedding day without!
