S•E•P•S•I•S . . Let's talk sepsis. One of the most annoying complications that is so easy to detect. So why to so many people die from it if we know how to recognise it early? . . Do you know about the sepsis 6? 6 things to check when you think your patient might be septic. You give 3 and take 3 . . 1. Give high flow O2 2. Start broad spectrum antibiotics 3. Give a fluid change 4. Take blood for cultures 5. Measure lactate 6. Measure urine output . . What do you normally do when you think someone is septic?
ABCDE . . Do you know this? How to assess a patient during an emergency? . . Airway Breathing Circulation Do not forget glucose . . Well it's a little more complex than that but measuring blood glucose can help aid it your diagnosis. It's really simple to and super important . . Do you know how a patient will present if they are hypo/hyerglycaemic?
We can all be stronger than our excuses 🖤 . . . I've be busy busy busy with studying and stressing over exams. I've implemented a 30 minutes study and then a few minutes break by walking around the house. . . . Has any one else got any good study times I could try out? I'm up for anything 😁
