On a cold, frosty, Calgary morning, like today, all we want to do is curl up in the great room of our Watermark bungalow with a coffee and a good book... maybe a bit of Bailey's in that coffee too!
While this photo may be a couple weeks old now, we're getting all sorts of feels as excitement build for our Cassidy show home with @tricklecreekyyc to open to the public in the coming weeks. Seriously cannot wait for everyone to see this beauty!
We're back! Happy New Year to everyone, we hope that you were able to enjoy the holiday season with those closest to you. We've got another before & after to get 2019 started & this stunner is even for sale. Contact @joshhamiltonhomes if you're interested in a gorgeous west coast contemporary home in Watermark.
Wishing you and yours nothing but the best this holiday season. We'll be closed this afternoon, through until January 2nd to spend time with those close to us. We'll see you in 2019! 🎄🎄🎄
As much as we try, there are times when a design isn't 100% on the first go-around, and that's okay. We made a few changes to the layout and the elevations on the white farmhouse that we showed you a few weeks back, and we now have the client's sign off! On to the next steps!
This is our fourth & final installment (for now) of our before & after series. Hope you enjoyed it; we'll be back with more of this type of content as more of our designs get wrapped up. We still love this charming family home, and now that the holidays are just around the corner, we can imagine how great a tree and stockings must look inside!
The 3rd edition of our before and after series with @tricklecreekyyc. We love how charming this modern farmhouse turned out. With a beamed porch ceiling and rafter tails, it's 👌🏻!
We have another little before and after to share with you all. What do you think of this charming blue farmhouse style infill that we completed with @tricklecreekyyc?
Happy Thanksgiving to all of our American friends and followers! Here's a little before and after action of one of our designs with @tricklecreekyyc. We love seeing our designs transform from simple linework to rendering through to a client's dream home! Can you picture Thanksgiving dinner here?
Working away on a new design for some great clients. They actually put in a special request for a Ferrari F-40 to appear in their rendering. And who were we to say no? 😂 We're loving the look of this modern farmhouse with a touch of craftsman and foursquare detailing. What do you think?
After too long, we finally had the chance to check up on our Bragg Creek project and it's really taking shape!
If you remember the hand sketch from the other week, here is the computer rendering for it. As we worked through taking it from paper and ink, we made some adjustments. What do you think?
Happy Thursday everyone; it's almost the weekend! We're pleased to share another concept that we've been playing with for an out of town build. We love the approachable nature of this little cottage!
We've been playing around with some initial concepts for an upcoming project and decided to play around with an older style of hand rendering for the elevation. What do you think of the first draft?
As we lead into the (Canadian) Thanksgiving long weekend, we wanted to send out a heartfelt message to all of our past and current clients. Wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving with your friends and families. We thank you all for making SCALA DESIGNS what it is today! As thankful as we are for yesterday, our goal will always to be learn from and be better than yesterday!
Another one on the drawingboard. This time a renovation. We're working with another fantastic private client to help them give their classic suburban home a facelift inside and out. With some minor revisions, this home will have a new lease on life.
We were just sent the rendering of our Richmond Park prairie style semi-detached build, and we think it's looking pretty 👌🏻! Could you see yourself in this 2500sq.ft. home?
What are your thoughts on our shingle style duplex infill? As inner city land values continue to rise, we would like to be able to offer and design more cost effective options to balance out some of the more costly homes that we have the fortune of designing for our clients.
