I began working with inflatable garments in 2016 as a way to recreate the sense of anxiety I experienced in dreams as a child around breathe, expansion and the inability to release ... that moment when you take a deep breath and can’t let it out. These photos of @nomi_chi/ @lizard__milk taken by @ldzbar last year remain to be cathartic.

New creative work with artists @ldzbar and @nomi_chi, styled with me by me featuring one of my Canadian favourites @heirloomhats
Exclusive Fashion Editorial for @darksnowmagazine / YOU CANNOT RUSH HEALING by Matthew Burditt “Only feminine energy can bring the environment back from edge of the fire.” Thank you for featuring a few pieces from our last capsule. @matthew_burditt #photographer #model @greer.mellenger #stylist @laceyjuneberry #modelagency @lizbellagency #mua @beckstargrams @nobasura_clubhouse
I made these smushed clay candleholders last week because I had to remember to play. When you choose a career based on your passions (like design) and your loves become your livelihood, sometimes every decision feels heavy. Every now and then I need to get outside of my head and use my hands. These monsters aren’t amazing but it’s the intention that counts!

We rented a u-haul van that we filled with racks of garments, shoes and accessories, and drove around neighbourhoods of Vancouver, Canada to find participants to photograph.

We questioned, as creatives, who holds the power and who dictates ‘success’ in this new age of social media and comment culture. We decided the most transparent way to relinquish power and neutralize the power dynamic of creator and muse, would be to focus on the end-user and remove any familial attachment by working with strangers.
Loving the wear and tear of these pieces. Tonight is the closing night for @transverseorientation18 (395 Alexander st, midnight) “Armstrong’s costumes add to the gorgeous look of the piece, playing on the gauze of wings and cocoons, but looking cutting-edge too.” @georgiastraight #vancouver #review
