I made this for a client (dog training client) who lost her grandchild at the age of seven to sickness. This photo of a rainbow was taken at his funeral. They asked if I’d write this quote in the “fancy lettering that I do” :). I could only say “of course”! It’s an honor! I’m still such a novice in this lettering arena and have lots of hang ups about how much better I wish I was. But when someone ask you to honor the memory of one taken way too soon, you put all of those hang ups away and just do what you love with so much love and the rest just has to follow. #connorsrainbow
Ho! Ho! Ho!
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. Hebrew 6:19. Knowing that He is greater than any amount of sadness, any amount of stress or fear makes it possible to hold on for His comfort and strength. So hold on. Rode out the storms leaning hard on Him. God is even greater than the pain we may feel! #elevationworship #herecomesheaven
Caramel apples dipped in peanuts, crackling leaves underfoot, nippy weather, pumpkin spice everything, cozy sweaters and a scarves and pumpkin spice everything are just a few favorite yummies that come with this wonderful season ❤️🎃💛🧡🍁🍂
‘Do it again” by @elevationworship is one of my favorite worship songs. As I listened to this song this weekend I thought and prayed over every family member and friend going through impossibly difficult times right now. My heart aches for them. This song is a great reminder that as you are waiting on God for an answer, a healing touch, provision or any other miracle, He will make a way. Our job is to trust in His promises as we wait or as we move forward. There’s always hope when it’s Him we are trusting in.
“Life is too short to have boring hair”. I was watching Food, Booze & Tattoos and heard this quote. I immediately thought of this guy right here and was excited about lettering the quote on a pic of him. This is my nephew @arod23pr. He is a very successful & well known barber in the LA area. Not only is he killing it in the barbering arena, he also NEVER has boring hair! Look through his photos and you’ll see :). Oh and he shares some pretty funny videos too! We are all so very proud of you Yadiel. It brings us so much joy to watch you work hard and succeed doing what you are so passionate about. I wish I would have positioned myself to make my dreams a reality at your age. But better now than never right? God bless you love! @sylviarodz_medina
Worship can be done in so many ways and forms. I truly believe that just by honoring God with doing what you were created to do, what you have a passion for, you are worshipping your Creator. I have a issues with organized religion but I never stopped worshipping God. Only now instead of going to a church, I go to the woods with my dogs (or the beach now that I’m in FL), and stand in awe of His creation. Or as I drive. But most especially when I sit still to create something. It’s a connection to the little girl in me that knew who she was because of how in touch she was with the things she loved doing the most. I say this a lot....if you are wondering who you are or what you’d like to do with your life, get in touch with the child. The person you were before the hardships of life came and blurred the vision.
When you’re so connected to someone you often text each other the same things at the same time 🤣👻☠️👻🎃
My ABSOLUTE favorite season. Pumpkin everything!!! I miss the NJ fall seasons very much but learning to appreciate the FL falls. The break from the smoldering heat is priceless!!
Inspired by an awesome mug @theglamfarmhouse posted 2 days ago about Football season :). The truth on her mug is so real lol!! Like Football Season, #fortnite is addicting. I have a couple of Fortnite quotes I’ve been wanting to letter because of the way this game takes hold of its players and does not let go lol and so I know there are many significant others out there that can relate and are rolling there eyes as they wait around for the gaming system to spontaneously explode and set their loved one free! My daughter’s @woah_its_caylie boyfriend @michael_of_kennedys is one of the captives 😆. I’ve been told there are websites dedicated to listing all of the break-ups this game has caused.
Indeed!! I feel I’d be lost without paper, pencil, markers and pens! No matter what your art is, tools become your extension.
Birthday Month is always the best month!!
So here’s the before and after pic I promised on the bench. This bench has a pretty cool story behind it!! And it’s especially cool that I’m reminded of that story each time I walk into my kitchen and see the bench. I have been wanting a church pew for SO long. They look so “out of place” awesome within the home. Any ways, I was chattin with my dearest friend Meredith @the_calm_k9 about wanting an old rustic looking pew but only being able to find these enormously long ones which won’t fit any where in my little home. So I decided to just put it out there in the universe with assurance (this is happening via text with my friend lol). Maybe one or two days later this small pew looking bench comes up in my FB marketplace feed. So I knew it was meant for me and jumped on it. And it was only about $40!!! Win!!!! Very thankful for those small signs of goodness drop in my world!! #alwaysgrateful #iserveagenerousgod The redo: 1.) light sanding 2.) Paint with your choice of chalk paint. I used Rust-Oleum Ultra Matte paint in ChiffonCream 3.) Use sander to remove paint in the usual “worn” places to age 4.) Add a thin tinted glaze. I used Rust-Oleum Semi-Transparent Aged 5.) Wipe the glaze off. And you’re done!!
I’ve finally gotten this corner of my kitchen done! I needed a little more storage space so I added three baskets under the bench. And that bench is hiding (behind the bench that is) dog water bowls, giant dog food containers, etc:). I just didn’t want those things to be the first thing I (and other people) see when walking into the kitchen! This was definitely a fun project! I’ll share a before and after of that bench next!!
