“You Can Kill The Revolutionary But Not The Revolution”, 1992 By Rubén Ortiz-Torres and Mo Chara Back in ‘99 when I was window painting and doing murals throughout southern Calif I went on a pilgrimage to Ireland to see the Peace Lines and visit the murals of Belfast. Such an unforgettable experience! I lost my 35mm pics but happy to find one of my faves online painted by Ortiz: #BillRolston https://billrolston.weebly.com The mural depicts James Connolly– a hero of the 1916 Rising, Emiliano Zapata– a leader in the Mexican Revolution of 1910, a fighter from the San Patricios– an Irish battalion in the Mexican-American war 1846–1848 y un vato loco. There’s also a phoenix and a UFW eagle within the flag colors of Ireland and Mexico. #Sláinte 🍀
