Click link in bio. I had a GREAT conversation with my friend @mattwilsontv on The Live Different Podcast, getting really deep into "non-traditional" podcast topics. - We talked about: • Why networking events DON'T work • How and why meditation works SO well with increasing your mental capacity & general health - NOTE: Did you know that if you practice meditation for 7 years, you’re on average, 10 years younger than your counterparts who don’t practice meditation? It's true! - • Enhancing your intuition & your ability to listen • Asking the right questions to make people LIGHT UP • Travel, meditation & drugs and how they change your state - Here's some of the best quotes from the conversation: - "People are literally forming companies together after one dinner. It's fucking crazy!" (speaking about @entrepreneursdinner) - “Curate the type of people you allow into your life. Make sure that the type of people you invest time into and you are around are good human beings. Make sure they challenge you and you can learn from them.” - "The quality of our presence is the element with the most positive contribution to the world" - >Click the link in my bio to listen. Up for 24 hours.< - PS. It's gets started around 6:00 mark, but it gets reaallyyy deep at 37:20. Let me know what you think about the conversation! 😊
LIVE ACTION REPORT: "Hey... Hey, come back!!" Literally, 6 people ran from this car as he hit a turn going way too fast, running over a median and smashing a speed limit sign into the ground, then running over 2 lanes and smashing into the median on the other side before coming back into these main 2 lanes 😳😳 Every single person in this car RAN out into God knows where and as I whipped out my phone to record this dude, only he was left. Checking out his car to see the damage and to tell his friends who knew he was drunk or under the influence to "comeback!" I stopped to make sure the driver was okay and to record whatever happened next bc I didn't know what the hell just happened and I'm always ready to whip out video when I'm driving. It's tough for me to judge others in this circumstance because if we're completely real and honest with ourselves, we've done some dumb shit too. Maybe even worse than what I just captured on video. BUT if you think you can trust everyone who's on the road? You. Are. Dead. Wrong. And it could cost you your life. These guys were lucky. And the only reason why someone wasn't killed is because that stop sign wasn't a moving person. Or because those lanes he flipped into didn't have cars with drivers in them. Fucking crazy. Hope y'all have a good and safe night. #drunkdriving #becareful
"Sun is shining. The weather is sweet." Skin feeling right. Mind being filled. Impact to create.
Lookin like we're ready to rob a convenience store. Or be the lead roles for Hancock 2. Or win "Most Likely to Show Up on Your Front Porch and Ask if You Got Any Extra Mac & Cheese?"
"The more important people are to you, the more important money will be to you." An @entrepreneursdinner member and the author of The Waterhole Millionaire (this generation's Richest Man in Babylon, just a great book!) signed this in my book during our breakfast meeting. I'm finding myself thinking deeply about it, letting it just sit with me before judging to see if it's true for me. I'm really curious... what do you think? Do you agree?
Class & conversation with a lil bit of ratchetness at the end. The perfect combination. Enjoyed your bday celebration @ohsostefanie
I watched today's speech and shed a tear because I was reminded how grateful I should be, in this moment, for the contribution and sacrifice of those that came before us, including and especially our ancestors who lived the best days of their lives under the horrible bondage of slavery. The fact that this woman who rang the grand opening bell, at 99 years of age, had a father who was born into servitude as a boy; who became a free man after the Emancipation Proclamation and then went on to become a doctor (😳😳!!) despite being born into a system that would have him seen, literally, as a beast; who would have a daughter who would have a son who would have a daughter - and that daughter at 7 years old today who be born at a time where the only United States president she's ever known is a BLACK man...?!?! Wow. The gratitude and amazement that rushed into me was unreal when the grand opening bell was rang at the African-American Museum which symbolized the bells that rang all across the South by slaves announcing their freedom to each other reminding me, again, of our history, how far we've come and how far we have to go. Completely changed how I viewed this day for the better. So grateful to live in the times that we do and so, so grateful for the sacrifice that those who came before us gave so that WE can stand on their shoulder today. True patriots. #AfricanAmericanMuseum #smithsonian
