Amazing time spent that day in the art and dance festival by RAF Igdtuw
The kids were feeling shy! So we jumped in for some comfort in front of everyone to dance with them! That too some silly dancing so they can feel that we are no better! We are all same! The small things we do have the greatest impacts!
That day was of surprises and Prizes! And it concluded with the Founder presenting some prizes to some amazing kids with us that day at Palna!
The children were very enthusiastic about the competition organised by RAF IGDTUW. Those children in the age group three to five years were given a free rein and could draw anything they pleased. Those in the age group of six to eight years were asked to draw a picture based on the theme, ‘My favourite scene’, while those between eight to eleven years of age were asked to draw something that depicted ‘My city or My village’.
Palna, the place where our volunteers teach, is a home to abandoned, homeless and destitute children. A palna is placed outside the gates of the compound to allow parents to leave their child without having to identify themselves. They later ring the bell to alert the authorities. This is how Palna receives most of the children. Palna authorities make every effort to bring a smile on every child's face. They are surely doing a wonderful job in not only giving these children immense love and care but also helping them walk on their own both literally and figuratively. You can make donations at Delhi Council For Child Welfare and give an opportunity to the kids to realise their true potential. http://www.dccw.org/online-payment.php . . . #RAF #IGDTUW
