One of the Chinese websites re-posted an old video from our Bellator HK summer training camp, with following intro: “Brutal training methods of one of the oversea’s Hung Kyun Gym. Check out these pretty good bloody real fights.” Brutal, bloody? Well, not exactly. Real? Sure thing, because we are #PracticalHungKyun .
Our “10 Tigers of #PHK ” started to work on some basic leg locks. As we explained before, you will not find “grappling” (like e.g. BJJ) in TCMA styles. Groundfighting? Yes! One of the most common techniques was so called “open guard”. And leg locks are one of the excellent counter techniques.
