Weekends in Whitefield
Attention people who live in the greater Whitefield metro area: I'm hoping to jumpstart a portrait project about people and their favorite objects by taking 28 different people's portraits in February, something like one per day. Indoors, outdoors, doesn't matter, as long as it's in a place you consider home, and including an object that you're proud of. I'll send the digital scans of your images shortly after. If you live around here and would love, like, or tolerate me hanging around and taking pictures of you for an hour, all levels of enthusiasm are encouraged to message me so we can make it happen. If I've already photographed you, I'd love to come back for more during this short and frigid month. And if you know folks who may be interested but would never see this due to lack of internet, kindly spread the word. t h a n k y o u in advance. (and thanks as always @moonisthere for being a constant muse)
Does the world ever actually look like this? I can't remember.

Feels like a scanning, printing, and framing pictures of mothers kind of a day. Barring all unforseen circumstances, these should be showing up in your mailbox soon, @stitchesandpics !
Alice, Maine 2018.
A good party should make you wonder which country and which century you've stumbled upon.
Delia, Maine 2018 I've got so many exciting (to me) projects whirling around my head, and wondering if I'll actually take them to completion, but real grateful in the meantime for the beautiful people who let me hang around and make pictures of them.
Friend or foe?
Feeling real excited to have a few images about child rearing in the @dontsmilephoto online exhibition, "Motherhood Unveiled," and in the real life upcoming show at @stitchesandpics You can peruse the excellent selections at http://dont-smile.com/exhibitions-1/motherhood-unveiled Needless to say, the whole topic is pretty close to my heart.
A good long stir.
Feeling approximately this unconcerned about the current snow storm.
peace out, 2017.

Well kids, first you need to find just the right pumpkin, then you artfully carve the pumpkin, then you watch the pumpkin rot for a couple months, then, when it's just perfectly decrepit, you smash the pumpkin with all your might.
