Meet Omer, a recent graduate from our Learn 2 Earn Digital Media E-Commerce Program. “When I was in high school I was always interested in digital creative projects. It was a big passion of mine. After high school, I told myself ‘Omer you have to follow your dream and start creating and designing filming projects using digital media’. At that time I started to look for a school in digital media that was affordable that would further upgrade my skills to meet the industry standards. When I arrived in Canada, I decided to further my investigation and find where I could satisfy this deep hunger to upgrade my knowledge. After a few weeks I saw a Springboard advertisement on Instagram. That got my attention so I called Springboard over the phone to book an appointment. My first visit was on July 10, 2018. The staff made me feel at home. Participating in the Learn 2 Earn program gave me the competence and empowerment to pursue my dream in becoming a digital media specialist. The team work experience in the class gave me the sudden motivation to do more. I felt a sudden burst of energy of courage and determination especially when I’m introducing myself to someone new. I’m proud to say that I’m currently employed and enjoy my first job in Canada, which I started immediately after I completed the Learn 2 Earn program.” #referafriend #youthemployment #november #december #wearetheyouth #youtharethefuture

Thank you @mindfulnessstudies and our engaging panel of mindful professionals for a thought provoking discussion regarding the importance of mindful facilitation with frontline workers and the social responsibility of practice among clients with mental health challenges. Through our HUB, we will be utilizing technology as a platform for mindful practice, while acknowledging mindfulness as a form of technology on its own. Special thanks to @ontrillium for all your support!
