Sometimes God knows what you need even before you do. He leads you to log on to kayak and book flights to another state, to make sure you are where you need to be when you need to be, and most importantly with whom you need to be with! ( @ali_s5511 just taught me how to use whom) Blessings on Blessings with this sweet friend of 15 years & finally meeting her #twingingers who are ginger light in any darkness! AND they took me to see my favorite Pastor Matt Chandler at The Village Church! So much love for this Boo Boo and her whole tribe! Thank you for all the things Skogsbergs!
It’s becoming clear that anti-seizure medicine isn’t going to be a long term solution for Talia. She’s had 6 seizures in the last 24 hours and one this morning that lasted over 20 minutes. I’m grateful for these last three weeks we’ve had together between here and San Diego. She was such a doll and so happy to be with me. She does a lot of relaxing in between episodes, but walks and playing aren’t really high on her list anymore. My heart is breaking and I don’t know how anyone has been able to handle such a difficult decision like this. Sadly, this is part of life and it definitely sheds light on my selfishness... for one, to keep her with me longer that what might be best for her; and two, my need to know that I’m making the best decision available, so that I don’t have to live with guilt once she’s gone. I fear I’ll wonder if I could have or should have done more for her... but I don’t know that there’s any way to ever protect ourselves from wondering that. Unless she was never mine... but no pain or fear or heartache will ever make me trade my life with her. She has loved me so well and taught me so much about responsibility and sacrifice. She has been at my heels or on my lap for eight and a half years... she has been the one physical constant in my adult life. Unless Talia experiences some sort of Christmas miracle, I’ll be saying my goodbyes to her in the next couple of days... hoping she will make it that long. I don’t want to prolong her suffering, but i want give her as much love and desired kibble as I can for her last earthly days. For all of my friends and family that have grown to love her or have helped care for her, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart... Talia has felt your love & I am so grateful for your support.
One of the beautiful memories from my last week in San Diego was our M2i Holiday Party! I’m going to miss these neighbors and friends so much... Hopefully the building socials will continue and I’ll get to stop in for one next time I visit you! I love that San Diego gave me such sweet friendships and it’s making my heart break a little for being gone. #bestofbothworlds
This amazing friend spoiled us last night with the most cheerful holiday spread in her home, with the most festive decor ever! I loved everything about last night, especially the company of some wonderful & hilarious friends! Mahvash, you blew me away and I am so grateful to have been able to be back in San Diego for this gorgeous display of Christmas love! Thank you!
Absolutely loved reuniting with my San Diego mama and papa bear on this coast and this little baby bear is juuuuuust right! To the new baby bear: Your mommy and daddy prayed for you and you are the squishiest little answered prayer ever! Love you Finlee!
When suburbia is your next step in life, but you’re not ready to give up on trendy restaurants and live music coffee shops, La Mesa is the perfect transition! My clients found the swankiest Mid-Century Modern gem at the top of this hill with amazing views and only a 7 minute walk down to La Mesa Village! Sheldon’s was the perfect place to post up and work while listening to live music during a really lengthy and thorough inspection today! The 1960 house will definitely need some love... stay tuned for the next episode of the La Mesa Penthouse!
I remember thinking everyone that was taking video was kind of missing out on dancing and singing... but, of course, I had to capture some footage for myself and I'm so glad I did! But don't worry, i definitely got my dancing in too! 💃 Shook it for Luke 💃
3rd time was definitely a charm with last night's pit tickets to see Luke Bryan shake it for us!
If you're my friend and you haven't met my dad, I would wonder how close of friends we actually are. Cause this guy is THE BEST and maybe even the reason a lot of you are still friends with me! 😉 As time passes and we are reminded that nothing in life is guaranteed, not our money, nor our relationships & certainly not our health. Unfortunately, it seems that those things have to be compromised for us to see just how fragile and unreliable those things are. Our family is experiencing this right now and it's still so difficult to grasp. Dad was diagnosed with an oral cancer and is fighting a battle that no one can ever be fully prepared for. I'll tell you though, he is one tough cookie and although the difficulties they each face are different in this battle, he has a very tough cookie by his side in my mama! I want to ask you all for prayers and also thank you to all of you who check in on me regularly and have offered your support. It's hard being so far away from him and I'm doing all that I can to make sure that I can be there as often as possible. Next trip scheduled for me is for the 1st week of November. Love ❤️ this man and the joy he brings! You'll beat this thing, Daddy, I just know it!
Sometimes Real Estate deals aren't always just buying and selling homes... It's about relationships and meeting the need for your clients or finding opportunities for them to do business because you know someone who they can help! I absolutely loved seeing this property, but am extremely excited about the opportunity for one of my clients to be a part of this transaction. It doesn't mean I will get paid, but it does mean that my client knows I'm looking out for him and his interests regardless of my personal benefit. I have to say, bringing him to the table on this may bring me more satisfaction than any other deal I may have done yet this year.
