Here we have it. The last day of the #gratefulformobilitychallenge . And I think this one was the hardest out of all of them. I suffer from plantar fasciitis, I have a crappy lower back, I'm standing a lot more these days than I expected to... These stretches couldn't come at a better time. The kneeling toe stretch is a killer! And the kneeling big toe to squat.. that's a work in progress. Thank you @docjenfit for opening this new world to me! Yesterday I missed day 5 of the #gratefulformobilitychallenge but got it in this morning! This challenge was for stretching the adductors! Not one of my favorites but this was a good stretch. Definitely going to use this in the future before squats! Thank you @docjenfit for teaching all these new ways of stretching- ways I never would've even imagined! #docjenfit #gratefulformobility
Day 4 of the #gratefulformobilitychallenge . The #psoas muscles. Never in my life did I ever think of stretching these guys. Part of the hip flexors, they pull the thigh and torso together! I'm learning new stuff! Yay! I also felt some stretching in my right quad as well, which leads me to believe.... Yup, tight. #gratefulformobility #docjenfit
This morning was day 3 of the #gratefulformobility challenge....HAMMIES!! Always has been one of the hardest muscles to stretch for me, which is probably why my back is so tight. Day 2 of the #gratefulformobilitychallenge . Today's challenge was wrist priming and helping the spine to prevent injury... Something as we all know I'm too familiar with. I've never primed my wrists before and wow, was that an eye opener. I've been having pain in my right thumb (probably scrolling too much) and I think this will definitely help, especially with the way I hold the bar when I squat. I'm very happy to be doing this challenge! And I'm also happy that it ended with my favorite, #childspose 😃 YAY! #gratefulformobility #docjenfit
Pigeon stretch. One of my favorite stretches of all time. It makes me feel like I can do half a split 😂. In all seriousness, with working 2 jobs I'm still glad I've got this much flexibility and strength. My lower back is a little out of wack again but I'm working on fixing it. Again. Imagine working at Lululemon, and having the manager tell you to do stretching and cardio in the window to show off the pants. I get that it's supposed to be a selling point to see how they move, but I find this so awkward. And check out the old dude waving!
