So cold but so good
Found another place to call ‘home’
One of my strongest memories from my Swedish summer was when I woke up at 4am to the sound of the waves crashing right outside the tent I was sleeping in.. I walked out into the black night and was stunned by the beautiful waves I could glimpse in the dark, something that I did not think was possible in Sweden. I had no other option, but to stay up until I could see properly and get into the water for the first surf with my new board at half past 5am...
Best place for a sunset
Been busy with baguettes and barrels
Sweden just blew my mind
Can’t stop smiling
Summer in Sweden has been crazy this year! It’s been 25 to 30 degrees hot every day and more beach days than I can count. I’m so glad for all of the good times but also beyond concerned for the crazy climate change (we usually have around 20°C and rain rain rain all summer) and the bushfires all over the country. It’s like a nice summer version of a catastrophe movie, and however nice we might think this weather is I really hope it’s a wake up call for everyone that these climate changes are Serious and that we need to change Today.
Didn’t get to say bye to my first board so here’s an appreciation post for that beautiful thing !
Cool kids eat melon
No sunrise but oh look at that wave
Missing this day and this gal🌻 @karinjosefinaf
I’ll keep posting photos from NZ until Sweden looks this goood
Dipping my toes into the cold water Paddling paddling paddling, until finally stillness My own body fills up with the stillness from underneath, relaxing, releasing Water building up behind me like a moving wall Paddling paddling paddling, until my energy is one with the moving energy of the water The wave, the sea, the board, my own body, We’re all one As the sea inside and the sea around me reunite into one being
Last week me and K spontaneously decided to head out on the lonely roads around the most eastern point of this planet. We were blown away by the beauty and rawness of this place, with it’s incredible starry skies, horses walking out in the middle of the road and turquoise perfectly breaking waves. This trip left my heart filled with love and gratitude for this incredible place and for the series of unexpected events that ended up with me calling it home.
Nice board gal
