I drove to a small village just for photographs of a small church which I heard its name one year ago, a Catholic church St. Peter and Paul, for its beautiful and fantastic interior. I have almost cannot believe that the most marvellous and beautiful church in the world lies in an unpopular small village, Steinhausen with population only around 200 people. St. Peter and Paul church, built in 1727 has been praised for centuries because of its interior with its oval outline, free-pillar-construction. The significance of the church is great. Therefore, one must not regard it as a precursor of the so-called "Wies" church. It is the first church with that style of construction. Dominicus Zimmermann became one of the most high-ranking German architects of the baroque age after they constructed this church in Steinhausen, South Germany. Nowadays, thousands of pilgrims and tourists are paying their respect to the church. It is known as a masterpiece of South-Germany's rococo period which has been captivating its visitors with its vitality, its life-like natural arrangements and finally its merry and festive atmosphere throughout centuries. You can see the walls and ceilings with its wonderful stone crafts and paintings which have significance continuing story of the spreading of Christian in the whole world as well as the story of Jesus and Maria. I love history and culture, together with this I put them into my hobby in photography. So here, I post 5 pieces and I will post again for more details of the church. Happy Saturday!
