My cousin, Jack, surprised his parents and sister tonight after being away for a year while stationed in Hawaii in the Navy. He carefully planned a video to tell them he was granted leave and would be home soon but little did they know, he was waiting in the back room ready to give out hugs. This moment was captured by my wife, Alicia, and this photograph is why I love photography. Tears of joy and the love of a family reunited... forever frozen in time. ❤️ Thank you to all who serve our country and very grateful to have our Jack Jack home for a few days!
2017 is coming to a close which means OH HIIIII 2018 wedding magic! If you’re looking for a wedding photographer, we would love to chat and see if we’re your perfect fit! PS. If you know this couple, then you know this is the kind of laughter they display all. day. long. with each other.💕
We want to thank our clients, our followers, our wedding industry pals and especially our family and friends for their support and trust in Kate Michaud Photography in the 2017 year! It has been truly incredible and we are so grateful for everyone who picked us out of so many wonderful artists in Maine! We are so lucky. Alicia and I are dedicating the next 48 hours to drinking eggnog, playing with our fur baby clan, singing holiday songs in the kitchen and visiting family! We hope everyone has had an incredible holiday season thus far and may even more joy come your way! <3 All the best, Kate + Alicia plus fur babies, Leo, Callie, Nemo, Khaleesi, Nova and Mya. ;)
Our boudoir brand @amethystboudoir will be announcing some really fun news at 8pm tonight — head on over if boudoir is something you’ve been thinking about!🌟
2018 is fast approaching and I’m excited because so many of my amazing couples tie the knot in 2018! Including this one... 🤩
I’m trying to be totally cool with the winter snow/rain/ice but honestly, I’m missing that summer glow this evening since I can’t feel my toes from all this cold. ⭐️
Sparkle on sparkle is a thing, right? 💍
Maine backdrops shall always have my heart. 💛
I’m spending this Monday in the best way... which is by putting the finishing touches on this wedding gallery.🏔
I was overjoyed to hear of Jason + Annie’s engagement and even more so to be asked to do their engagement photos! Each time I have seen them together over the years, they just glow with happiness at each other’s side. ❤️ PS. They’re the first couple to ever ask to do a winter beach session so they’re the coolest.
I love all of the little moments. Life happens so fast, especially wedding days — so having 1/250 of a second captured forever is pretty cool if you ask me! I’m so blessed that couples and families trust me to capture these priceless moments. 💕
I love the morning after a snow storm.✨
All this snow has me dreaming of snowy shoots! ❄️❄️❄️
These blooms 🌿 @nancymichaud7 made some seriously lovely bouquets for a seriously lovely bride! Obsessed over the blue thistle.
Forests make one of the ultimate backdrops ✨
Happy holidays from us to you!!🎄Callie and Leo were pretty excited for the first snow fall (Callie’s first time seeing snow, check our story of more from her first snow excursion) so we decided, why not take their Christmas photo.🤣
