There was a guy at the mall today selling movie posters. He had a bunch of Godzilla ones, including some of the King of the Monsters comic con exclusives and some of the 2014 Godzilla comic con posters. As you can see though, I only got a GMK poster and one from Attack of the Crab Monsters. Because... Why not? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ #Godzilla #GMK #KingOfTheMonsters #AttackOfTheCrabMonsters #Crab #CrabMonsters #CrabPeople #Kaiju #Mothra #KingGhidorah #Baragon #SciFi #Horror
Kinda funny that my most liked is my most recent post. I did disappear for like 6 months but whatever. Hopefully 2019 will be a more productive year for this page. 1,945 likes is so close to 1,954... In all seriousness though, Thank you guys for a great year! Just wish I coulda given you more.
This was something I screenshotted off of Doyle's (Misfits guitarist) story a while back. This is an epic 25cm Shin Godzilla that was customized by @gabrielmarquezsculptor who you should check out! I can return to posting now though because I have my phone back after the screen being broken for like 3 months, instead of having to use a cumbersome tablet to stay up to date with news and shtuff. #Godzilla #CookieMonster #ShinGodzilla #CookieZilla #Kaiju #CookieKaiju #Godzilla2016 #Doyle #138 #Monster #Gojira #ShinGojira #ImInABandIfAnyoneCares #WeHaveAnInstagramNow #DMMeAndIllSendYouIt
So I was tagged by @otakusatsu for his #FlexFriday dealio, but due to me being at a metal concert all day yesterday, didn't have the chance to so here it is. Something from my collection I think not many people have. Most of my figures and stuff like that probably aren't that obscure so the first thing to pop in my head was this VHS tape (or maybe one of my comics, or Godzilla birthday cards) which is Guyver Out of Control, an OVA from 1986. As if I haven't talked about Guyver enough, lol. I got this thing cheap from a fellow in Canada, because usually it sells upwards of 60$ and I'm not paying that for a VHS. Even though this VHS was in print for about a year, but being so obscure and hard to find, I doubt many people have this. Fun fact, it's a subtitled VHS, so they didn't dub it when they brought it over. #Guyver #OutOfControl #OVA #VHS #Manga #Anime #Comics #Sho #Fukumachi #Kronos #KyoushokuSoukouGuyver #KyoushokuSouKou #GuyverOutOfControl #Gaiba #Unit1 #Unit2 #Unit3 #Guyver1 #Guyver2 #Guyver3 #TooManyHashtags #ButILoveGuyver #CrypticHashtagToConfusePeople
Reposted from @daikaiju_tony We're getting a new Gorgo comic! I think I need that. The art looks like it's trying to replicate Godzilla 2014 in some ways but it's still cool as h*ck. It's amazing to me just how many giant monster movies got comics in the UK. Gorgo, Konga, and Yonggary all had their own books. I may be wrong in my assumption that they're all from the UK but what do you expect from a guy on the internet you never met, FACTS? #Gorgo #Kaiju #Comics #ComicBooks #UK #England #GreatBritain #Mother #MotherGorgo #Yonggary #Konga #2018 #Godzilla #Godzilla2014 #2014
Tagged by @watch_or_not_horror to post my 6 favorite time travel movies. It really puts into perspective how similar movie posters are when you line them up like this. #GodzillaVsKingGhidorah #EdgeOfTomorrow #XMenDaysOfFuturePast #ArmyOfDarkness #TerminatorJudgementDay #MenInBlack3 #Godzilla #KingGhidorah #XMen #Terminator #MIB #TimeTravel
I've stopped caring about watermarking my original pictures, and I know this is old news and all but this is my mematic depiction of Toho's cancellation of Shin Godzilla movies in favor of a cinematic universe. #ShinGodzilla #Toho #Kaiju #Godzilla #2016 #Godzilla2016 #ShinGodzilla2 #CinematicUniverse #GCU #KCU
Serizawa-san, I don't feel so good...
@watch_or_not_movies tagged me for the 4 movies I think define science fiction. I tried not to do the same things as he did, but The Thing is too good, I had to. I also put Pandorum on here since he used Event Horzion, and Pandorum is the spiritual successor and kinda better in my opinion. Blade Runner and Gojira should be obvious as to why they're on here, but I like them all for the same reason. They give thoughtful introspection into some aspect of the human condition, create incredible atmospheres, and housed incredible effects as well as film scores. #Gojira #Godzilla #BladeRunner #Pandorum #EventHorizon #TheThing #SciFi #1954 #1982 #2009 #ScienceFiction #Movies
I just clicked on this song because Godzilla is eating a cookie in the thumbnail, but it's actually a pretty decent hip hop track. #Godzilla #HipHop #NotSimonSays #NotPharaoheMonch #Ghost #NotGhostBC #ButForSomeReasonItsOnGhostTopicWithGhostBC #LongHashtags #TooManyHashtags #PostWorkBoredom
Just got out, and wanted to give my thoughts with no spoilers of course. Solidly recommed watching it, the expansion on the Pacific Rim mythos was great, the kaiju action was incredible, but the actual story is kinda lacking. #PacificRim #Uprising #PacificRimUprising #Kaiju #Jaegars #CharlieDay #JohnBoyega #IdrisElba
So this popped up as a sponsored post in my feed, and I gotta say it's pretty cool! They're kickstarting these chibi-style Pacific Rim kaiju pins. The Cloverfield Paradox: As previously mentioned, I had hoped this would tie the first two films together. I thought Houston Texas would be the set stage for such a film, as it could explain the aliens connection to the Cloverfield monster while giving us an epic place for more action. Then I hear it's gonna take place in space, and I get even more excited as I see the possibilities we can have. But something about the trailer worried me. The short shot of the Shepherd particle reactor made me realise that this film was not grounded in reality, especially not 2008 reality. I could've accepted that 10 Cloverfield Lane took place 8 years after the first film so long as they did a good enough job explaining the connection since both films were grounded and down to earth. Watching the movie, it becomes apparent that this film does connect the other films in the least linear way possible. I go into the film more extensively in the podcast I do with my friend called Cinecide on YouTube, the second photo in the collage is the thumbnail I edited for the film. In that podcast I say how it seemed more like an Event Horizon/Pandorum prequel than a Cloverfield film, as it deals with dimensional shift and space travel as well as body horror as well as introspectives on humanity, but the only thing that really ties to to Cloverfield is the scenes in earth and the very last shot of the film. Even then, it's not even the same dimension as the other two films. This film explains why the monster showed up in Cloverfield, and why the aliens showed up in the sequel, by just saying that dimensions crossed together. On one hand it's cool, it leaves open the possibility of an anthology series, but we see how well that worked out for Halloween with their third film's reception. On the other hand, it's not as grand as I had hoped it to be. The film itself was an extremely well made film, and quite engaging but as a sequel to this semi ambiguous franchise, I had honestly hoped for more. I wanted this to be the Phantasm 5 of the franchise, but instead got Prometheus. #Cloverfield #10CloverfieldLane #CloverfieldParadox #Paradox #10 #Lane #JJAbrams #SciFi #Horror #Anthology
Let's have a discussion about the Cloverfield franchise. I watch Cloverfield Paradox a while ago but waited a bit to post anything about it so I could develop my thoughts on the subject a bit more than just a first impression opinion, I wanted to look into this as a film and as a contextual sequel. Cloverfield: I remember the marketing for this movie in 2008 but I never saw it despite catching my attention whenever I saw the poster. It's such a striking image that grabs your attention and tells you what the movie is about with no information. The movie, as you all know, is a found footage giant monster film. The likes of which never had been done on this scale before, and it was extremely effective. The characters were actually compelling, as was the story, and the tension in the film was genuine. The monsters were also extremely cool, and part of what made them cool was how they were used effectively, even if it was for a limited amount of time. Kinda like a certain 2014 movie. 10 Cloverfield Lane: A film that I definitely had to see in theaters in 2016 when it came out. I was excited to see the sequel to a movie that I had seen only not too long ago (probably a year or two prior), additionally the cast looked incredible. It seemed like it was going to showcase further destruction from the Cloverfield monster, but while watching it, it becomes apparent that the Cloverfield name was kind of an afterthought even if it was cleverly woven into this tense thriller that was reminiscent of John Carpenter's The Thing in some aspects. The ending really took me by surprise, but I loved it. Once again it was clever, but left a little up to imagination. While there was some confusion, I thought that the sequel to the movie was going tie everything up in a neat bow and possibly give us an intense apocalyptic action thriller where we got to see more Cloverfiled monster and space worm destruction. My thoughts on Cloverfield Paradox, in part 2 of this post. #Cloverfield #10CloverfieldLane #CloverfieldParadox #10 #Lane #Paradox #JJAbrams #SciFi #Horror #Anthology
