Mamma - Mia ⛾ Being someone's something can be hard. You ladies especially know what I am talking about... You get up early to do your daughter's hair extra special for a play at school or stay up late to hear your son express just how frustrating people spouting "opinion as fact can be". Then there's the multiple runs to the grocer, getting the dog's check up + has the fridge been cleaned of that foul smell? 🤔 And if your married spending time as a couple plus a full time (or more job). How the hell are we to get it all done? Well .... you learn to juggle, be an octopus and thank goodness your phone can house all of the lists! The #1 important thing is stopping to take time out each and every day for a much needed epsom salts bath, another to meditate, make time to write down your goals, morning yoga, art or gives you a jolt of energy. We've pulled more than 15 days straight and don't really see an end (I lost track 🙈). To compensate our long hours we've even "spent time" with our teenage Cub by driving to check on a job together so we could catch up. Despite our schedule we are feeling good. And while caffeine does not count in a traditional sense, a relaxing cup of perfectly made tea - like this one from #thegourmetdumplinghouse is my nod to taking a minute to recalibrate when all the noise seems to be too much. ⛾ Tell me your favorite re-set ... the ideas would be helpful. 😋 Photo by Hubbly, Edit by moi

Lekker •••••••• It's cold in little ol' Central Florida and while it seems silly, it's just no good here. Funny enough I don't mind it so much in New England. Here's a nod to a lekker time at #ogawacoffee - missing the vibe and wouldn't mind the warmth of your hot chocolate. What's your comfort item today? 📘 Lekker: (South Africa, slang) pleasing, enjoyable, or tasty
Sirocco - Allergies are a real thing, especially living in Central Florida. Despite the fact that we are thousands of miles from the Sahara desert, the dust it kicks up and sends over the Atlantic to settle right here over Florida causes a large influx of allergies which I am struggling with despite the fact that we are up to our eyeballs in multi's. It also is another reminder of the similarities around the world because the definition of sirocco is; ((A hot, steady oppressive wind that blows from Libean deserts across Mediterranean into S Europe often bringing dust and sometimes rain.)) Can we all get on board with #plantmoretrees #treesforhealthandwellbeing #planttreesdogood K thanks 👊 As for this picture, This is heading to a multi a few weeks back, the sun was washing out everything in sight. Reminds me of a windy desert scape. Do you suffer from allergies and if so how do manage on the road?

Who knew ❓ a green bean smashup 💚 • • •• Is it terrible that I strongly dislike Florida architecture? Especially Orlando's [mostly]. and I know it's a bit unfair actually .... I grew up deep in Midwestern Country, so brick rectangles & siding houses are pretty much the norm. In my late teens, I stepped off the plane to a completely different landscape. The new and the old are toppled together out of necessity, but somehow it doesn't feel completely out of place. Massachusetts is loaded with Colonial style houses, Cape cod's, old brick works that have been converted into living space and so many more OPTIONS. Places like #thenorthend or even the Seaport district with it's make over and recent claim to fame, include old and new in a way that feels more blended than intrusive. In contrast; Orlando has very stark styles, stucco (98% of the houses being built today) or maybe a shingle clapboard style and a few variations. So - I think I am spoiled. Maybe it was kismet that I would move to New England and fall in love with it's eclecticism and tradition smooshed together like a really big sandwich. Only I didn't KNOW that until I moved away (the second time mind) and saw how unexciting the architecture can be without the really big bun bringing them into close quarters. Since I'm not a huge carb fan it would have to be a cloud bread bun, but you get my point. Have any of you realized just how much you miss something, only after you have left again - cuz am I the only crazza By the by - have you ever had a Chilean sandwich? (when trying new things on vacation you ignore such trivial things as carbs 🤷♀️). It's spicy avo spread on a special bun with grilled chicken, green beans, tomato and an even spicier sauce ... unless your bestie warns you it's ER inducing. It's completely divine! Have you eaten this lovely Greenbean smashup?
The slippery slope - - of pride ¤¤ ¤¤ ¤¤ To me it leads to "this is better than that", which can very easily turn to "I am better than them". ¤ ¤ While people argue, debate, delay & plot real people - our people - of this planet, are experiencing life in horrific ways. ¤¤ How can we keep others from what we CAN share? - The right to exist, breathe and flourish IS NOT exclusive to some. ¤ ¤ I invite you to use #morebridgeslesswalls for any BRIDGE you post on Insta. ¤¤ Would love to see them from all over the globe. ¤ ¤ This 📷 is of the Lechmere Viaduct near the Boston Science museum as we streak across the famous Longfellow bridge outside #BostonMassachusetts

Salute to Shivers! What?? Well, ordinarily I love natural fibers, cotton or silk, hemp & the like. But this morning... I woke up eternally grateful for spandex. Having completely embraced amazing food for the last month (and not making it to a single yoga class in about the same time) it was all I could do to be at ease with myself. Dear fuzzy needed a walk and it was too damn hot for sweats, tough problem I know. 🤷♀️ Anyway, waaaay at the very bottom of my dresser I found Hubbly's dragon pants he wore when we dated, which I have on occasion stolen to wear. So on they went to get me through the morning routine. I adore these pants and while ordinarily I don't celebrate chemical based fibers like lycra, TODAY I am FULL ON HAPPY that Joseph Shivers invented it for Dupont in the late 1950's. Thanks dude - from the bottom of my waistband 🤣 Oh and I made it to yoga today so another thing to celebrate today ❗ The little things that give me the Shivers. Yup, I went there. ✅ Happy 1st day of January I would LOVE to know what you are celebrating today - cuz - every day is an opportunity. ✌

Dreaming in Palomino ▫️ When I was a little girl, I dreamt only of having a beautiful horse to call my own. #horseloversunite As we streak through the last hours of the year, I am reminded of a mindset that I brought into 2018 and happily carry into 2019. 🔸️ " In amongst the day to day chaos; What can we be tending, to better serve us? Perhaps we can find a bit more patience, look for a more positive meaning to someone's actions (rather than apply our own experiences), and maybe we can send out more love for people, regardless of their status to us". 🔸️ May you ring in 2019 Dreaming of your Palomino 💋
From skeptic to believer ❗ We had a late flight back to Florida on our last day & wanted to explore the city, BUT had too much luggage to be dragging around all day. While we could have stashed it at our hotel, it wasn't convenient to the airport or where we planned to be. Enter Vertoe stage left. Turns out this company, works with locations around 9 major US cities for you to prepay & store your luggage in a secure place for a flat fee. Just $6 per bag in Boston - Who knew ! These folks were incredibly accommodating as I had to change things around after I booked and they cheerfully made adjustments. On top of that, we added extra bags while at drop off and it was super simple on the fly. Highly recommend #vertoe . ✅ This is #notsponsored , just really appreciate them making our last day in #beantown so much better. ▫️ These tags are put on your bags sort of like tamperproof zip ties and looked pretty cool against colored contacts?? 🤷♀️ Have you ever used a service like this?
Be a little bit funky, is my motto Our last day of our Boston trip was co-old 🧣and windy 💨. A storm was preparing to roll through and the temps were were going to dip into the teens (as a high). We planned to dart around the city with a few activities but it just wasn't meant to be. ☕ Hubbly and I were tired - TBH the only thing we didn't love about our little hotel was the beds, we just couldn't get comfortable, so a good night's sleep was elusive. We decided to make food our main destination with so much to choose from. ☕ This coffee house was chosen on a whim after being battered by the wind for 30mins. Turns out, Hubbly got pretty enthused about their coffee and the hot chocolate was damn good! ☕ #ogawacoffee Thanks for being the perfect spot and I love your funky vibe, its sublime.
May you be Merry and Bright❣ ▫️ Busy work schedule and Holidays = Taking a week off the gram 💋
