Finally feeling like summer around here 😎🌞 I’ve been increasingly trying to keep the concepts of slow living at the forefront of my mind. If feels like the world is moving at a mile a minute and it’s human nature to want to keep up. I’m no exception. It’s so easy to be hard on ourselves for not slowing down. Ironically I feel like we can be equally as hard on ourselves for not keeping up. It seems like a lose-lose. But its doesn't have to be. I think the most important advice is to design a program that fits your individual life rather than try to design a program that fits someone else's life. We don't have to completely transform our lifestyle overnight. In the beginning recognizing that we're operating too fast is the first step to building out a conscious slow living lifestyle. There are incremental things we can do that will make a huge impact on our lives. It’s about listening to ourselves and what our needs are, listening to our health. And then incrementally building out a lifestyle that works for us. Starting with just a few hours a day or week is what has been working for me: yoga, reading, having alone time. Those are smalls things that make an impact in my life. What do you do to live consciously?
