Went on a trek to see the site of the Kissengen Springs watering hole.. This was a popular swimming and activity area in the 30s and 40s. It was lost to mining and the buildings were destroyed. I have heard a few presentations on this over the years so am glad I got to finally see the site. Apparently FDR came here for a campaign rally in 1935. Its not impossible for the Spring to come back. There is an effort to preserve and restore the site.
