Last week I received a request of a teacher from Belgium if I wanted to set up a skype session with her class of 8 year olds as they were having a project running about our oceans. Skyping from Australia, I was bombarded with questions for 45min such as: "how big is the ocean? How do dolphins swim? Have you seen a shark attacking a whale yet? Are turtles cool? And so on... It was incredibly awesome to feel how interested they were about everything there is to know about the Great Barrier Reef and its Marine life. But the highlight of our conversation for sure was, when a little girl told me she realised how bad plastic was for our oceans. They also promised me to not use any plastic straws anymore to protect our turtles and and other marine life from suffocating It filled my hearth with warmth, waving them goodbye. 🖐🙏❤ • • • 📷 Taken by the incredibly talented @maddigitty
Meeting the most famous fish of the Great Barrier Reef should be on everybody's bucketlist. Went snorkeling with @reefmagiccruises and was fortunate enough to spend some quality-time with "Wally" the "Maori Wrasse" 😍🐟. • • • 📷 Taken by the incredibly talented @maddigitty • • • #maoriwrasse #greatbarrierreef #cairns #queensland #australia
Windin Falls: one of the most amazing hikes I've ever done in my life! A 5km ascent through the tropical rainforest of the Atherton Tablelands. With on top a natural infinity pool and a 337m waterfall as a reward. Just MIND-BLOWING!!!
Got this one in the mailbox the other day, sent in by one of the guests who joined us on a Whale Watching Tour with @reefmagiccruises this season. This picture sums up pretty much everything: huge smile every single day behind my camera, doing my thing and absolutely loving my job. Couldn't wish for anything better. Good times. Thankyou to everybody who made my days in Cairns count. <3 • • #humpbackwhale #photographer #reefmagiccruises #cairns #queensland #australia
