Le Radici (7/10 🌟) 🔹Food: A menu curated by Michelin starred Chef Gianpaola Raschi and Italian Cuisine Master Chef Maurizio Roberti meant I had high expectations. Overall I'd say the food was ok but not Michelin caliber. The Scallop Crudo $21 (📸:1) was light and fresh but clashed with the greens on top. You'll notice they like to throw a bunch of greens on everything. The Pizza Di Guido $23 (📸:2) is described as a deconstructed pizza. It's an odd dish since it's cold mahimahi and tomatoes. I'd pass on this. The Lingua Tonnata $18 (📸:3) is cold beef tongue with the infamous greens. It tasted ok but didn't have any standout flavor. The Pappardelle Alla Genovese $23 (📸:4) is a braised beef pasta. This was a good flavorful dish with tender braised beef. The Tagliatelle Funghi Tartuf $28 (📸:5) lacked the earthy mushroom flavor I was expecting and yet had more greens thrown on top. The Costata Di Manzo $52 (📸 :6) was a ribeye cooked perfectly but lacked any uniqueness in flavor. The Porchetta $29 (📸:7) was good other than the stuffing which was too salty. The Risotto Del Giorno $35 (📸:8) was the star of the night. Risotto with Foie Gras and Scallop! I wasn't expecting that combo to work out but it did. I'm definitely going to try and recreate this at home. The Torta Della Nonna Rovesciata $18 (📸:9) is an upside down apple pie. It was a light twist on apple pie and was enjoyed by the whole table. I also enjoyed a Soul Resonance Cocktail $15 (📸:10) which was a solid drink if you like old fashions. . 🔹Service: Service was friendly but not fine dining caliber. . 🔹Verdict: Worth a try if you're in the area. . 🔹Tip: Free valet parking at Velocity Honolulu. Just head to the concierge desk in Velocity and they can direct you up. Otherwise the elevator is on the ground floor next to the Cafe and they're located on the 3rd floor.
