Photo sequence/story from my Dads shooting competition yesterday. He killed it!...figuratively. Narrowing down the entire comp to 10 images was a lot harder than I thought. I originally had around 130 images from the day and narrowed that down to my top 23. Then I did the last picks to get the final 10. Let me know what you think! Photo I shot for @portraitsforpits while at the beach over the weekend. I don’t know what part of my brain allows me to go from shooting dark, post-apocalyptic-esq grime; To shooting the cutest pet portraits I’ve ever seen, but I’m thankful for it!
Meet me at the place between ruin and creation. There we’ll find balance.
Day Four of #davidsnotebook is up on the blog! Link in ya boys bio. In this entry the character David is coming to grips with the reality of a catastrophic natural disaster, the physical health of the people in his makeshift group, and his thoughts on the absence of government assistant during this crisis. “[...] Every day that passes it becomes even more clear that we're in this alone. A government that we payed taxes into...that we pledged allegiance to every day in school, is just going leave us like this? [...]” #abandoned #urbex #apocalyptic
Subtropical urban jungle. New Orleans June 2018.
Hands down my favorite shot I’ve taken this year. I really loved this composition of the natural elements of the tree on the left, hard angled abandoned building layered behind it on the right and the crow with its wings spread perfectly in the negative space of the clouds. This was originally shot without the crow in it, I missed the shot the first time it flew in front of me. After waiting it out for 10min or so it look a similar flight path, luckily I was ready for it this time. #gettheshot
