Photo Challenge, Day 10: #childhoodmemory . This was my Oma's home when she was alive and living independently. I live a few blocks from here, and @earthtogingie is also close by. Coming home has always felt familiar, even though I've only lived here a few years, because holidays and other special times happened here. A friend of mine lived in it a couple of years ago, when subsequent owners split it up and rented it out, but I never got to visit her there. Which I don't necessarily have an issue with; it's fun to remember the hidden rooms and nooks and crannies and the way Oma had it set up. I don't know that I'd want the immortalized version, the one that lives in mind's eye, altered. Tagging @grownupjosh, as well, to join me in reminiscing ;) ❤️❤️❤️
Frankenstein by the cellphone light. 😻
I have a couple of photo challenge days to catch up on. #Frankie represents Day 8, #routine , because hers is drastically altered by the situation with #sillyhubs . Typically, he'd be upstairs with me at night, and she's not allowed in our room. However, he's sleeping in the living room until he tackles stairs, so she hangs out in our room with me. She likes that part, I think, aside from the mode of transportation - she hates being picked up. That tail is mid-thump. But in the time it's taken to write this, she's settled down and will probably climb under the covers with me when I lay down. Nighty night, Instagrammers.
Photo Challenge, Day 4: something green. Yes, that's my Christmas tree. Yes, this is a current photo. I put it up solo so it was on #sillyhubs to take down solo. Then he broke his ankle on VDay. Part of me is enjoying the thought of seeing how much more time passes before it finally gets taken down, and I love the colors I used this time, especially against our gorgeous gray walls. For now, I've got bigger fish to fry, so it stays another day. ;)
