First time working out since the beginning of May. Things I’ve noticed: ✅ STRENGTH: I did lose some strength, but it wasn’t as much as I thought. I was able to do 80% of what I normally lift. ✅ ENDURANCE: My endurance was way down. Although I was able to lift most of the weight I used to lift, I would fatigue faster... it was harder to push through, but this was actually a satisfying challenge. ✅ SIZE: I lost 14 lb. There was significant muscle and fat loss; however, this is an expected result of not training with good nutrition. ✅ MOTIVATION: To keep it simple, it feels good to train again. And to those that struggle with this: There is a relationship between self-motivation and developmental outcomes. Even if your goals are physical, your mind controls everything you do. Even if you exert the utmost control over your diet and training, you’re going to have setbacks like bad workouts, periods of low energy, external stress, injuries, sickness, etc. Know that this isn’t an excuse to be undisciplined, but an understanding that you’ll have to stay in the game for the long haul. If you don’t understand the likelihood of occasional setbacks, every mishap will seem like the end of the world. 😱 Optimize everything you can control, and understand that the things you can’t control may sometimes bring you down. The right mindset will allow you to bounce back ASAP 👌🏼💯
Lately I have been drinking mushroom green tea. @foursigmatic offers Reishi (for relaxation), Lion’s Mane (for mental clarity), Chaga (for general wellbeing), and my personal favorite - Cordyceps (an ergonomic, great for preworkout). They also have hot cacao and a mushroom coffee mix. Thank you @lrachelley for introducing me to this brand, as it has become one of my favorite beverages. I usually mix it with green tea, but they are good by themselves 🍄🍵
Great weekend up in Joshua Tree with some of the homies, thank you @anyx__ for the invite and letting me drive the mustang 😁

Anyone else see the nuclear alien UFO from North Korea last night? The government is calling it a SpaceX launch 😂
When you wake up at 6 in the morning and close your eyes for 5 minutes and it's already 6:45. Then you're at work, it's 2:30, you close your eyes for 5 minutes and it's 2:31 😴
Life is a gift
Drum N' Bass is my pre-workout. If you have Spotify, listen to the Green Mix by Andy C. It's so sick 🎧🔥 What kinda music do you listen to when you train?
Some pics/vids from @exchangela on #BassGiving @captain_hanks and I were in the front at the rail all night, and we ran into @slayerdave1 who appreciates DnB as much us🤘🏼 Big thanks to @andy_ramagram and @tonnpiper for coming to LA and delivering a truly epic performance. Some days I amaze myself. Other days I look for my phone while I'm holding it.
Everything in your past is in your mind, your imagination, in your dreams. Nothing dies, the man becomes like a tree. The branches are visible and it's long twisted roots are submerged under the ground
