#northernrivers saves me from my winter self. Responsibilities have really taken their toll on me. I feel like I’ve had 1000 tabs open in my head for my patients, to run a business, to be paying all my bill, looking after a kid, middle of house Reno’s, there’s no time left for my brain to tumble weed out all the static. Who’s driving in the front? We put our acceptable face to the right side and our refused or unacceptable characteristics to the left ( not that Sookie is this @annakearey ! Just a great image that made me think of shadow self and that Sookie thinks himself to be a poodle was a light bulb 💡 moment ). If the #shadow self accumulates more energy than our ego it erupts as an overpowering rage or we have depression. The shadow gone autonomous is a terrible monster in our psychic house. However some of the pure gold of our personality goes into the shadow as it finds no place in the egos leveling place that our culture demands. The seesaw of our ego and shadow self must be balanced if one is to remain in #equilibrium . If one indulges characteristics on the right side then must balance by an equal weight on the left otherwise they might flip into their opposite behaviour, throwing all caution to the wind and flipping out!
