Aren’t there a million of people out there?
Aren’t there a million of people out there?
“Savanna scatters and the seabird sings. So why should we fear what travel brings? What were we hoping to get out of this? Some kind of momentary bliss? I waited for something, and something died. So I waited for nothing, and nothing arrived. It's our dearest ally, it's our closest friend. It's our darkest blackout, it's our final end. My dear sweet nothing, let's start a new. From here all in is just me and you. I waited for something and something died. So I waited for nothing, and nothing arrived. Well I guess it's over, I guess it's begun. It’s a losers' table, but we've already won. It's a funny battle, it's a constant game. I guess I was busy when nothing came”. Villagers - Nothing Arrived
Goodbye to my Santa Monica dream. Fifteen kids in the backyard drinking wine. You tell me stories of the sea. And the ones you left behind. Goodbye to the roses on your street. Goodbye to the children we'll never meet. And the ones we left behind. I'm somewhere, you're somewhere. I'm nowhere, you're nowhere. I could go there but I don't.
You can do it. Do you understand how amazing it is to hear that sentence? Do you understand how amazing it is to hear that from anybody? It’s one of the simplest sentences in the world, just four words, but they’re the four hugest words in the world when they put are together. You can do it. I can do it. Let’s do it.
Something like Olivia. I keep thinking something like Olivia is what I need to find.
“But she in Vincent. They talk to each other in that special way, you know, as if it was the most exciting thing in the world to talk to each other.“ Loving Vincent.
One day you wake up and wonderful things happen. the most beautiful sunrise. your inner peace. the smile of important people. the great love you deserve. the best meal you’ll ever try. the most meaningful song. the farthest views. true friendship. honesty. the deepest eyes you have ever seen. the blue sky at noon and the red sun in the evening. a true happy place. a man who loves you just like you are. family happiness. a new passion. the best breakfast of your life. a new friend you can admire. the most interesting painting. a new and foreign culture. a person where you can understand everything. flowers just for you. the best coffee of your life. One day you wake up and all of this is going to happen, promised :).
“I had always heard your entire life flashes in front of your eyes the second before you die. First of all, that one second isn’t a second at all, it stretches on forever, like an ocean of time... I guess I could be pretty pissed of about what happened to me... but it’s hard to stay mad, when there’s so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I’m seeing it all at once, and it’s too much, my heart fills up like a balloon that’s about to burst... and then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can’t feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid life... you have no idea what I’m talking about, I’m sure. But don’t worry... you will someday.“ Lester Burnham, American Beauty
Between our first and last breath is the story we create :).
Music at weddings. Choose songs that touched you during your relationship. Choose a musician who integrates the songs as you imagine. Don’t just choose any romantic songs, choose yours. you will be blown away. No matter if it’s from a movie, no matter if already 50 years old and no matter if nobody understands it. Tell your story. Everything gets even better with music, it takes me every week. I love you music, I really do.
There are a few places that have touched me: 1. Iceland Glacier Lagoon: a unreal moment to see that the beautiful earth can create 2. Japan, Mount Fuji: sunset view from the hakone rope way. Just wow! 3. California Highway 1: these two first days in October, never seen so much beauty on one road 4. Rome: music and sunsets every day, realized things. 5. Grand Canyon: the most gigantic thing I’ve ever seen 6. Venice: As if you were in another world. I like the idea of no cars. Sunsets, coffee, small alleys and water.
Ideas for a self-love date: go out to eat, yoga class, spa day, make music, dye hair, be quiet in nature, read in the park, candlelit bath, learn braids, solo hike, buy flowers, cook something new, ride to beach, minimize, make playlists, volunteer, make photographs just for you, practice ukulele, letter to your future self, write a short story, go to a gig. Treat yourself!
“Or would I prefer a lifetime of longing provided we both kept this little ping-pong game going: not knowing, not-not knowing, not-not-not knowing? Just be quiet, say something, and if you can’t say “yes”, don’t say “no”, say “later”. Is this why people say “maybe” when they mean “yes”, but hope you will think it’s “no” when all they really means is: Please, just ask me once more, and once more after that?” André Aciman, Call me by your name
Still in love with this beautiful wedding ✨
“Perhaps not all humans are this way, but I am completely dependent on another person. I don’t know much, but I know my person, Rachel very well and she knows me the same depths. If I’ve got any advice for anyone, It would be to find a real partner; who is truly your best friend, who is faithful, completely committed, who knows the meaning of selflessness, who will allow you to be yourself, who will comfort you, protect you, pick you up and believe in you in all times. Find and be a partner who isn’t jealous. Find and be a partner who can handle anger, frustration and disappointment. Find and be a partner who shares the same goals. Tell them everything, ask them everything, put your egos on the alter and mutually create a plan to find a peaceful balance. Build yourself a home. Follow the dreams you have. DO WHAT YOU TRULY WANT TO DO. Give that person all that you have.. sorry for that bla bla bla, but really, life is too short. If you don’t have true love that is the point of all of this? Go and find your person, be with that person and be a good person in return. Thank you for having me Rachel. Your name is my address.” aj legrand.
I had that dream. I dreamed back in time in this small guesthouse called “sacred seed”, somewhere in the golden circle in Iceland. You drive this gravel road and in the middle of nothing and there is this small little guesthouse. In this lived a friendly Icelandic family with their little sweet dog. They gave us the best pumpkin soup of the world for just 7 bucks and then we went to the hot springs in front of the house. The water came directly from a hot river from the area. The water was freaking hot and smelled a little bit weird, but it was something special. This place was unreal and the water felt so good on the skin. Our room was as big as a shoebox, but I slept like a baby. We woke up early in the morning and I got that feeling that I woke up on a other planet. Somewhere far away from home. Sacred Seed, I will not come back. Because i want this memory to remain unique in my memory for ever. Thank you for this and thank you my lovely sister to make this memory with me 🙏
Somehow I never wanted to visit Laos. But then I started to watch documentation, photos and reports. I think Laos is in the end exactly my place: I hope there is no WiFi, I hope there are children running down the streets with happy faces, I hope the nature will blow my mind and I hope for an easy and unspectacular food. Living in a bamboo house for a few days / weeks / months and forget the world :). Laos, soon soon soon!
One day? Or day one? You decide 💥
