You know the safety announcement on aeroplanes that advises not to fit someone else’s oxygen mask before fitting your own?...It’s a bit like love. Do not attempt to love and care for another before you love and care for yourself. This way you’ll know what love and care actually is and be able to administer it properly. 📿❤️🙏🏼
Love and loss are part of the same experience. As Buddha himself expressed during his final passing: “Have I not formerly explained that it is the nature of things that we must be divided, separated, and parted from all that is beloved and dear?” 📿❤️🙏🏼 To truly love unconditionally we must accept and hold loss in our hearts.
There is no such thing as ‘the one.´ We are all one. We exist as one; it only takes one match to start a fire. If you are searching for ‘the one,’ you are disconnected. Reconnect with the whole through meditation and inner work. Find other souls to support you on your journey and dig deep into the universal energy. 📿❤️🙏🏼 When I find myself focusing outwards, I shift my attention inwards. I return to my core breathing and meditate on an unlit match in my mind’s eye. As you center yourself with your breathing, reconnect to the whole and allow your energy to light the match. The universal energy is held in this light. As you breathe deeply, focus on the light and heal your mind.
All three people in this image are in love 📿❤️🙏🏼 Remember to look around you and direct your love to all that presents itself to you.
We wrongly believe we should have trust in others when in fact we only require trust in ourselves. 📿❤️🙏🏼 Trusting ourselves to walk away if something isn’t serving us, trusting ourselves to love openly and unconditionally, and trusting ourselves to know that we are enough regardless of place or circumstance.
Yes YOU! 📿❤️🙏🏼
The answer is always the same...📿❤️🙏🏼
Every life is precious. Every moment lived is valuable. Even our darkest hour is an experience that can transform the life of another. Every molecule of your body is necessary to the functioning of a much larger whole: the universe. We need you! 📿❤️🙏🏼
Practising the Buddhist way does not mean never experiencing negative emotions. This is all part of the human condition. Even the most zen individual will feel anger, sadness, disappointment and hurt. Our wisdom comes from knowing these emotions can safely sit beside peace, joy, fulfilment and love. When you are experiencing one of the negative emotions, remove yourself to a quiet place and meditate on its positive counteremotion. A feeling is not an action. A feeling does not have power over you until you turn it into an action. 📿❤️🙏🏼
Love and peace to all sentient beings 📿❤️🙏🏼
Go for it! 📿❤️🙏🏼
