I just finished Blood Brothers by Ernst Haffner. Ernst Haffner was a journalist and social worker. His only published novel, Blood Brothers, received wide acclaim in 1932 before being banned by the Nazis the following year. In the 1940's all records of Haffner vanished. His fate during World War Two remains unknown.
