Although a city boy at heart, there is nothing more satisfying than grabbing my waterproofs and heading to the hills of Scotland. Staying in Edinburgh we are so lucky that within a matter of hours in all directions we can find ourselves in the midst of unspoilt nature. Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads.
The Queens View, one of my favourite views and so beautiful at this time of the year. Apparently named after Queen Victoria who said it was the most spectacularly view, when she visited the area in 1866. However, some say it relates to King Robert the Bruce’s wife, Queen Isabella of Scotland, over 550 years earlier.
