And what better way to kick things off than with a benchmark. - "We did the CrossFit Total, which consists of a 1-rep-max back squat, 1-rep-max press and 1-rep-max deadlift. - "If you STILL think CrossFit is not for everyone after this 🤦🏽♀️ - "We scaled. We made sure she got plenty of rest in between sets. We didn't cherry pick and avoid the strength day 😉 We did 100% CrossFit. - "I have always been proud of my mom and yesterday was no different. It takes a lot of courage to try one more time. Because I know how many time she has tried to lose weight. We all fall off the horse sometimes, and I can only imagine how much worse it must feel when you have a constant visual reminder of that failure. - "BUT without knowing it she taught me that it was ok to fail. You just get back up and try again. She has shown me time and time again what it truly means to be resilient. The one thing that stops most people from acting is fear of failure. I am so grateful because it is the one thing I will never fear. - “Thank you. Happy Birthday. And welcome to @crossfitwonderland 💪🗝💜😘" - —@lambrayliving, CF-L3

#RepostSave @crossfit with @repostsaveapp ・・・ “CrossFit was scary when I first started. I was nervous. I thought everyone would judge me. I never thought I would be able to finish a workout. At 290 lb., I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. Now looking back, I wish I would have started at the very beginning. Which brings me to a very important part of this: please don’t think you have to be at a certain fitness level to do #CrossFit . Anyone can do it. - "… (CrossFit) is so much more than the weights, so much more than the time caps, the egos. It’s just a community of people who all love the same thing and are all extremely passionate about what CrossFit is and, well, when you put a bunch of us together, it’s a big family. A family I never had. - "CrossFit has helped me lose my weight, but more importantly, it has helped me heal from my past. CrossFit is my therapy. CrossFit truly saved my life.❤️ #IsFrannyFitYet ” - Since making a 2016 New Year’s resolution to improve her fitness, Frances Carpenter (@isfrannyfityet) has lost 130 lb., become Instagram famous and attained new levels of health and happiness. - Hear her inspiring story in “Is Franny Fit Yet?” by @schrockfilms. #RepostSave @crossfit with @repostsaveapp ・・・ "Dear CrossFit, - "At first I didn’t like you. At first you scared me. Then I got to know you, very slowly. And it turns out you were nothing (like) what I had expected. - "I met you just over a year ago and I must say, today I don’t know what I would do without you. You have given me confidence, happiness and both inner and outer strength. You never judged me and have always been there for me when I needed you the most. - "You have seen me at my worst and lifted me to be the best. You made me sweat, stink, cry, bleed and curse. But you’ve made me grow, laugh, love and lift heavy. Thank you for being you and allowing me to be (me). - "As a 35-year-old mother of two (and) wife ... working full time and managing life, I feel blessed to be able to show my children that there is something/someone out there for everyone that will give them what #CrossFit has given to me. - "So I thank you, from the bottom of my deepest squat clean, for giving me more motivation to be a better, stronger and happier version of myself. - "Sincerely yours, Tiffany xo" - @tiffjnobes | @crossfitetobicoke

@Regranned from @crossfit - “The question regularly arises as to the applicability of a regimen like CrossFit’s to older and deconditioned or detrained populations. The needs of an Olympic athlete and our grandparents differ by degree, not kind.” —Greg Glassman - 🤳🏼@crossfitreanimated: It’s a good day in our legends class! Deane is doing step-overs with two 45s and one 35-lb. plate for the very first time! ... When we started last September stepping up on a single 25 lb. was a challenge! That’s dedication! She has stairs at home and wants to work on being stronger so going up and down them isn’t a challenge.
