I love this photo. @moosebiker is looking all lovey dovey at his beautiful new bride @accidentalmotorcyclist, @tlc_travels is riding hubby's bike and even the dog looks happy! This was my one and only (very, very stupid in hindsight) ride since my accident. When I saw the registrar a few days earlier he said I could ride as long as I was careful. I knew it was a mistake when I got back and I didn't ride again. When I finally saw the neurosurgeon and found out how bad my neck was I realised that I was bloody lucky I didn't do any more permanent damage. After being told it wouldn't take much of a knock to the head to make me a quadriplegic I realised how lucky I had been. Especially for that 2up trip we did after Christmas (3 weeks after my accident) when @arrans_adv dropped the bike with me on the back. Two weeks down and I'm starting to feel better. Breathing is good. No more pins and needles or weakness in my arms and legs or clumsiness. Well, mostly none. The pain from the spinal cord injury is a little better. Not much, but a little. On the whole I'm starting to feel a little better now than I did before my surgery.
