Cozy in my hubby's Storm Troopers' socks on a rainy night, fresh new sheets, hot honey-lemon-apple cider in a mug and re-reading some childhood bedtime stories for some creative ideas with the kiddos at dance class for the week. Good thing my moma still kept my favourite story books in her archives as lesson plan guide. Looks like she kept them for a real good reason. #withoutdance #thereisnopointè 😏
My lil' dose of cuteness and fun at baby Jazz class today at @dance_synergie.bn 😍😍😍
Bringing thriller back to life with this bunch. It totes brought @hanifhrs and I to a great extent of challenge having to work with almost a total of 80 over kids in Dance club and we had to narrow down to this much due to a short period of time of rehearsal and the limited capacity of the stage. We were advised to pick the fast learners so that it would be easier for us to handle. But looking through a whole lot of list of great potential dancers we picked the ones who were the most timid, self-conscious, unconfident and the ones who liked being behind the class at all times. Getting them to feel comfortable in their musicality skills was a challenge and the ability to get them into character was tough at one point. But they showed progress a little bit more towards the day of performance with only 2 days of practice. They somehow started feeling the sense of belongingness and they started showing more eagerness to practice. Ofcourse they still had the nervousness before going up the stage and technical hiccups here and there but fighting their stage fright and overcoming them for us today was already a win win. May not have been the best performance delivered but they did their best and that's all that matters.
Lesson planning at 2am and listening to baby ballet tunes for my first twinkle toes class with some more kiddos later in the morning. Problem with sleeping in during the day. 😅 The only time, in a very long time and now i can't sleep earlier.
A decent break calls for a real good time to hoover around the house and rearrange some things. | The rocker husband and the artistic wife shares a lil corner of workspace in the masters bedroom and finally some really good time just to chill with family and pets. #couplethatcleanstogetherstaystogether
Cotton candy faded hair, rainy pizza bonding affair. | Lovely, well spent evening with my favourite English teacher. 22 years later, i finally get to formally introduce to her my knight in shining armour which she used to joke to me about when i was a lil' girl. 😅😜
My fanatic hubby finally got a taste of live music by his favourite Malaysian band #relent . When i get to drive his car, their playlist is on repeat which is no surprise that i knew every song they sang at tonight's lil concert. 😂😅 My ears missed listening to these kind of gigs. Thanks for sharing your talents here in Brunei and great to see you guys again since our last trip to KL.
Here's a project we did at the recent dance camp, showcasing some works we've done at @dance_synergie.bn for every dance classes. And this is one with a student which I find rather interesting. | Link started attending my contemp class without any background nor confidence in her own image whilst dancing about earlier this year and she hardly missed any of the dance classes. She would be very honest with her opinions about how much she fears being asked to dance infront of a crowd. As the classes increased with more students each month, she slowly transformed into this absolutely different person. As if as though she has been dancing for years. So very proud of this lovely lady for taking a leap in overcoming her fears. 😍😍😍 | This just proves you are never too late to dance! Age is just a number. 💛 . . . 🎶 love me like you do. #elliegolding
Pow!!! Hard work and determination got these kids this far with less than 7 months training. Some had zero coordination skills and timing but today made us all super proud after their performance. #happyfeet #congratulations #newgeneration #greatdancersinthemaking #mylittlecheerleaders
Certainly a month full of trials, unexpected incidents and on some days waking up still feeling tired. But God has always been gracious to us and amidst all the challenges we are blessed with the free gift of salvation and eternal life! This year's Teacher's day celebration though has been very overwhelming for mama, my husband and first time for me. From the simplest forms of appreciations to the massive surprises, we place God in the centre of it all. He provides and never leaves us nor forsakes us. Looking back, i never thought i'd ever be greeted with such humbling greetings. And it's truly been an exciting ride so far to be on this journey. Alot more things to learn and certainly not going to be easy but we will give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus. - 1 Thessalonians 5:18 #abreathofpurpose #iamhisservant . . . Ps. The Husband deserves some real good techy upgrade. Not the best gift but that's what we could afford. 😂
I'm fertile. 😂 | My hairstylist warned me about this choice of hair colour. There's a disclaimer that says after the 3rd week and the colour's fading, there's a chance of growing a garden. And I was fine with that. 😎 | Anyone interested to have a garden on their heads, they are actually selling these hair clips in Ding Tea. Why you'd ask? I. Really. Don't. Know. 😒 #lol
This team! (although, not complete) is such an honor to be working with side-by-side. My dance mentors ever since I was little up until today. @masterprimathea my ballet and cheer leading teacher, who have been such a role model to me up until this date has really molded me to be a better person at heart and on my toes - not just on the dance floor but also when teaching the younger generation in the studio. | Teacher @davidjhoy who is my biggest critic and my second parent that without his hardcore discipline I would've ended up nowhere near the dancing scenes anymore. That even from a distance now, he would still leave a word of encouragement to hang on to and be the difference. He has brought the Jazzer in me come to life! And that will always remain in me. | Teacher @archiequeri, the "biggest" 😂😘 support and a strong fighter he is that always keeps the team solid no matter what. That even at our lowest times, he will find ways to push through difficulties and make it work! With that I commend you for that. | Teacher @kiratikid_rocks WELCOME TO THE TEAM! It's only been a month working with you but already bringing an impact to so many dancers! Your high energy is contagious and it brings so much technicolours to the room. We are excited for the Future na! | As for the ones who aren't in the photo but has contributed a great influence for who I am today, A VERY HUGE THANK YOU! YOU ARE A BLESSING! @carolabrigo @jeffreyrogador @twinbeast @slmp72 @szheila16 @hanifhrs @danzmasta__ricky_zumba
Not many can truly understand the joy our Batch of alumni's felt that time we got to hug and meet our ex English Teacher Macy (left side of the photo) again. It's been yearsssssss! She was that one teacher who taught me at Drama class and my mentor at Declamation Speech and at the age 9y.o. I won first place in the first competition she encouraged me to join. It was surreal! Ever since then, she's made an impact in the lives of many students. | And teacher Garth (on the far right of the photo) was my first music teacher who taught me vocals and how to play a recorder. 😂 We all know that didn't go far for me coz I loved dancing more and he used to be irritable about that coz he said I had potential in both. But he never gave up on his students and I admire him for that. | Thank you #smsarjana25 for this fruitful event that really brought us back to memory lane. #Godisgood #grateful #blessed
