It’s been unbearably hot in Europe these past two weeks, save for one gloriously rainy day in Vienna
The New York Cafe in Budapest was one of the most popular coffee houses in the city, and a center of writing and publishing. Apparently some of the most important newspapers at the turn of the century were edited here. It fell into disrepair after WWII, but was restored in 2006 to its baroque splendor #curbed
There’s a heatwave right now in Europe (and New York, and apparently everywhere?) But who cares when you’re in a city known for their Art Nouveau baths.
One more picture from the walls of RiNo in Denver. Once full of warehouses, it’s now an arts district in the pattern of so many growing cities.
If you’re looking for Bushwick in Denver, head straight to RiNo. When I was growing up here it was desolate and full of warehouses, since revivified by @thecrushwalls which also holds a week-long festival at the beginning of September
Really wouldn’t mind being back at the beach right now
Summer in Washington Heights
I’ll be honest, celebrating the 4th right now feels like holding a party for a 16 year old who just drank all his parents’ alcohol, then stole and wrecked the family car, while running over the dog, with the baby crying in the front seat.
