Grizzly, If you never hike another day with me, I will still love you the same. But I am hopeful you will heal up and hike many more days with me. Your strength and determination is so inspiring. I love you Grizzly Bear. Love, Your Momma
GRIZZLY UPDATE 🐕 _ He is walking A LOT more. He can make it about 3-4 houses down, lays down on the neighbor’s grass waiting while his favorite old lady walks down the street, then he grabs her leash when she comes back to him and walks her home! 😍 _ His elbows are definitely feeling SO much better and it’s showing. The surgeon wants to wait till his elbows have healed for a month before doing surgery for his Hip Dysplasia. You can see in the video how depleted his back legs muscles are from not being able to walk around. Surgery is set for Wednesday October 3rd. This surgery is supposed to be 10x worse than his Elbow Dysplasia 😩 But he is moving in the right direction to being able to enjoy life again! _ If you would like to help with the crazy cost of his medical bills it would be greatly appreciated [ link in the bio ]🙏🏼💛
GRIZZLY UPDATE _ He is doing better each day! The first 48 hours back I was pretty much carrying his big butt around the house and out to go to the bathroom. He’s been resting a lot and making progress walking each day! He has it rough though, his hips are now giving him tougher problems. You can hear the bones popping in and out when he tries to walk and I know it’s causing him pain and his back leg muscles are very depleted. I’m hoping to be able to do hip surgery as soon as possible. _ I’ve been working 7 days a week to pay for his vet bills. So if you would like to donate to the cost of his surgeries, I would be extremely grateful! 🙏🏼 (link is in the bio) _ Thank you everyone who has been checking in on him and me and for your healing vibes and prayers! _ Love, Kimberly and Grizzly
Really missing having time to get lost in the wild. Soon...
One of my favorite things about hiking is the awesome people you meet along the trails. I set out on this hike solo and along the way I met two great people that trekked some miles with me, shared some good conversations with and became future hiking buddies! ⛰💛
Life is an echo. What you send out, comes back. What you sow, you reap. What you give, you get. What you see in others, exists in you. - Echo phone at Echo Mountain. So cool to hear your voice echo through the mountains! 🗣
