"write drunk, edit sober". this advice is probably best when not taken literally, though ernest hemingway said this, and knowing him, he wasn't being metaphorical.

YOU by Caroline Kepnes!!!! Oh my goodness! What an amazing book. Truly fantastic — chilling and scary and everything I want out of a thriller/horror/psycho-stalker novel!!! 6/5 stars, it was truly that good!!
Happy Friday! Everyone have a great weekend I hope you all get some reading/writing done!
You know out of all the books I think should be made into movies, Six of Crows would be such a good movie (if done right).
throwback to last December ! Prisoner of Azkaban was a truly great book. My favorite book of last December!
Working on my manuscript the other day 💪🏼 so happy with the progress I’m making

Got these books from a local used bookstore on father’s day. I’ve never read Pride and Prejudice but it’s always been in the back of my mind. Hope everyone is having a good week! Mine has been pretty decent, to say the least.
I am now offering poetry and prose proofreading and editing for a very low cost! Check out the link in my bio if you’re interested, or DM me for details!
Goodmorning! Have a great day and get some reading in!
I’m so happy to finally have a groove on this writing thing. I feel like I can achieve anything if I manage to get a book written and published. Maybe that’s not true but it’s a nice thought. Side note: I really wish I had made some coffee so I could stay up late and write, but I’m much too lazy to do it now! Oh well.
Some exciting news for myself. I reached a milestone in my writing, 25,000 words! Not nearly a full novel but definitely a sign that I’m getting there. To celebrate I made some collages to showcase my characters if you swipe. None of the pictures in these collages are mine, I got them all off of Pinterest... just so everyone knows. Here’s the name of the character they represent from left to right: 1) Braylen, 2) Brynn, 3) Taleah, 4) Felix, 5) Ramona. Very excited and proud of myself for where I’ve gotten! #bookstagram #writersofinstagram #novel #writing #booktube #writertube #books #writer #manuscript #milestone
When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon | I haven’t read this book yet, but it’s on my TBR. A contemporary romance that is filled with representation.
It has been a long time!!! Too long, if I’m being honest with myself. No excuses, I’ll do better. I’ve gotten a lot of books in the past couple months that I will be uploading this week! Watch out for those 😊
THINGS WRITERS CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT: » Laptop (for when we actually write) » Notebook + pen (to record our evil world-domination plans) » Book (to make us cry) » Phone (for distracting ourselves from writing) » Coffee (for fuel so we can do all the things) . . What are your writing essentials? What can't you live without? . . I can't function without my laptop, phone, notebooks, Spotify playlist, and books (!!). . #writersofinstagram #writer #writerslife #coffee #laptop #writeraesthetic #writinglife

Sorry i've been kind of AWOL, since the semester started i've been busy as a bee! Haven't had much time for reading, writing, or doing much of anything! that'll change soon though hopefully!
I finished Goblet of Fire last night! Honestly my favorite book of the series so far -- however it's my least favorite movie! Too many missing characters and scenes that in my opinion matter a lot.
75% through Goblet of Fire, and it's definitely my new all-time favorite book. I can just feel an epic ending coming along
Stalking Jack the Ripper is probably one of my most anticipated reads, personally, for the upcoming year. I can't wait to dive into my reading challenge this year and hopefully achieve my goals!
happy 2018! ive decided to set my reading goal at 50 books this year. that's just over a book a week, which i think i can manage if i stay focused during the semester l. Other than that, I'm skipping resolutions this year.
Current series || Harry Potter! Gone will be the days of "you haven't read Harry Potter???" once and for all! Despite the peer pressure, I'm finding myself really enjoying them. I'm also rather annoyed at the movies now that i've realized the large portions of events they've changed! Either way, so far 10/10.
Couldn't believe it when i saw this the other day. Runny Babbit was one of my favorite books growing up!
fall is the best time to read🍁🍂🌾
This was my breakfast the morning after I went and saw John Green in Cincinnati! It was such an awesome experience and I'm so glad I had it. Also, I received my first OwlCrate this month and I'm not disappointed at all! It was fabulous. I can't believe how much you get for the price! I'll be back to posting more tonight hopefully
Spending today focusing on schoolwork. Hopefully I'll get some reading/writing done as well. Currently wondering how people write entire novels in a month when I can hardly write a chapter in a month these days 😅 hope everyone is having a good day!
Hello! Working on a book is challenging, and if you're like me you love to seek out inspiration for characters, settings, and even plot. I really love to browse Pinterest whenever I'm still plotting a novel out, as it really helps me get ideas and keep them organized for when I go back to look at them. If you're having trouble figuring out how to get ideas for various parts of your novel, I suggest checking out Pinterest! Now, I have to work in the morning so I'm going to head to bed. Goodnight, everyone!
Hey babes! Here's some of the books I got from my most recent birthday. I'm excited to get into them soon! . . . . . . What are some books you guys are excited to read this fall? I'm particularly excited to read IT by Stephen King and Little Monsters by Kara Thomas.
Excited to get into Little Monsters by Kara Thomas this fall! Thrillers are my go-to reads in the fall since I love Halloween so much.
An old photo from a few weeks ago. I read this book years ago but it was interesting to go back and reread some of it from the point I'm at in life now.
Hello babes! Just popping by to say hello and show you one of my books for class-- and a very boring one at that. I'm still working on Six of Crows since I haven't had much time to read. Hopefully I'll have it done this week!
Currently reading Six of Crows by @lbardugo ! So far I'm really liking it. I've never read the Grisha trilogy but I've picked up on the world pretty well from here, so that's good. . I need to get better light for my pictures, everything keeps coming out super yellow. Hopefully I'll get that figured out soon. Have a great week, everybody!
I just finished A Wrinkle In Time this morning. I can definitely see why it is considered a classic. . . I annotated this book for fun today. This was unusual for me as I normally only annotate books for class, but the urge hit me so I just did it; it felt great! I started to write down my theories, questions, ideas, and highlighted my favorite quotes. Now, I'm not saying I'm going to be an annotating fiend or something now, but it was nice to see all of my thoughts throughout the book. . . I'm gonna go start Six of Crows now!
Some recent purchases! From left to right: The first 4 books of "The Dark Tower" series by Stephen King, IT also by Stephen King, Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty, and A Wrinkle In Time by Madeleine L'Engle. Really excited to get into these soon!!!
two books I've been wanting to read for months now, I just haven't gotten around to it. Soon, though!
Stephen King | I never read any of his work up until this year, but I love it! I've always loved horror and thriller movies so I'm not really surprised, though. This book in particular I'm going to give a 4.5 out of 5.
Writers block sucks, especially when you don't have a lot of time to writer to begin with, and then you waste the time you do have staring at a blank page. Whenever I have writers block, I keep writing anyway, even if it sounds like gibberish. Eventually I'll get somewhere and hey, at least I'm still working on it! I enjoyed this cup of lavender lemon tea at a local coffee shop as I spent a few hours working on my manuscript. ☕️🖊📖 it felt great. Hope everyone has a great time writing, reading, or even just relaxing this week!
