BACK TO ATTACHMENT... I realised this morning when I woke to a particularly cold day (1.3 degrees C on the NSW northern coast) that I would need to come back to Attachment as a weekly practice. A dear friend told me yesterday that his intention was to move back to the US and my heart fell even at the same time I knew this was probably what was right for him. It triggered in me another sense of loss, of someone else I have grown fond of moving away... I also realised this was a practice I would be taking with me till my last day on this planet for every day things change and holding on and suffering only make it worse. I plan to really watch myself this week with all forms of attachment. Attachment to my health, to how I feel, to what I eat, to my expectations of how the day should play out, and mostly attachment to things I am happy with in the moment. For all things will eventually change How will I do this? By: -hanging out in the present as much as possible -being grateful for everything I have and practicing this multiple times during the day -checking in with myself when I feel something I don’t really like and seeing what thoughts I am having that triggered it -being aware of fear when it crops up and asking myself what love would do/feel like instead And lastly... Remembering that every day is a new start... new things are around every corner. Every joy has its season as does every sorrow. I love the quote from Tom Hanks in the movie Castaway when he said (end of movie when someone asked how he made it out there on his own) “Every day is a new day and you never know what the tide will bring in”

Banana bread for breakfast . . I've been thinking about how I got into the habit of saying "I don't have time" constantly, about everything. I'm not sure how it started exactly, it's just developed until I say it automatically. It's become damaging in a sense because I'm limiting myself in so many ways, simply because I'm not giving it time, because I've got into a mindset that I'm "too busy". . . This morning I decided to bake banana bread for breakfast even though I have a million other things I could have been doing, that maybe was more important. If I'm honest, it made me feel a bit unsettled because it felt like I was doing something wrong and I should be telling myself off. I'm taking that as a sign that I probably need to do stuff like this more often, rather than mindlessly following "what I should be doing". So now I'm going to enjoy the fresh smell of banana bread wafting around while I start my writing!

The psychologist Oliver James developed the idea of ‘love bombing’ children, which is basically a way to reconnect with your child. . This can be really helpful if there’s a new baby in the family, your kids are struggling with sibling rivalry, if you’ve just gone back to work, if your child has just started childcare or school, if they are feeling anxious or if you are just feeling a disconnect with your child. . The idea is that you choose how much time you will spend 1:1 with your child and let them have control over what you do together. . You don’t have to say yes to everything they want in that time or spend any money, but importantly you turn off your phone and totally focus on enjoying time with your child and showing them how much you love them. . The important thing is your child feels completely loved and completely in control. . Checklist: - work out what length of time you will do. - set a date at least a week in advance. - sell it to your child, big-time. - get your child to plan what they want to do and get this written down. - get your child to give the experience a name. - do the love bombing. - do top ups. . V i s i o n - I was chatting with my Mum last night about my future business and there is nothing like having somebody that reassures you, that gives you that positivity and further push you need 🌸 . I had forgotten some of my biggest achievements and one that was key to me happened when I was only 15! . I flew by myself to Omaha Nebraska after winning a competition about how money would be in 2020. Two weeks away, I stayed with a host family and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I drove a car, as apparently my passport was a driving licence, my mum still insists this was illegal. I went to two schools during my stay one was just like the movie clueless the other much more like the one in Gangsters Paradise *it was the first time I had seen a metal detector that was not at an airport, I ate corn dogs at a summer fair, went to a concert not knowing who it was No Doubt! . I had forgotten how young I was to go off and experience such wonder, I don’t think I felt fear about doing I just saw it as a great adventure and I needed that vision and perspective again. The fire in my belly, the determination to succeed, the ethic of working hard is more powerful than ever but I also know how to look after myself and take time out when I need it to give me a balance to my life and those in it ✨ . Happy Saturday and keep believing in all that you do, because life is a gift and there is so much happiness, love and life to see and experience.
Miltä Tuntuu, Kun Voimat Ovat Vähissä? . Uupumus. Siltä musta on viime aikoina tuntunut. . Ehkä jopa vähän ironista, mutta tasan vuosi sitten palasin Suomeen, ja voi että miten hukassa olinkaan! Muistan olleeni väsynyt ja motivaatio oli täysin kadoksissa. Treenaaminen piti pääni kasassa. Kauaa en tuossa fiiliksessä jaksanut olla, joten aloin tekemään mun omasta unelmasta konkreettista. . Pakko ihan pysähtyä hetkeksi ja huomata mitä kaikkea oon vuodessa saanut aikaan ja oppinut. Se työmäärä tähän pisteeseen on ollut käsittämätön. . Olen suunnitellut ja rakentanut omaa digituotetta jo jonkun aikaa. Ja siihen liittyvä työkuorma yhdistettynä kaikkeen muuhun mun elämässä on ottanut aika ison siivun mussa olevasta energiasta. . Se on tuonut sitä virtaa, fiilistä ja elinvoimaa tähän asti ihan mielettömästi. Mutta nyt oon siinä pisteessä, että se ei enää anna sitä energiaa, vaan ottaa vaan. . Tein itselle ison, mutta tärkeän päätöksen. Otan hetken helppoa, ja jatkan sen jälkeen töitä sinnikkäämmin kuin koskaan. Ja saan todennäköisesti aikaan paremman lopputuloksen. . Aina pelkästään kovaa ja täysiä tekeminen ei riitä. Pitää osata toimia myös fiksusti. Ja nyt on aika himmata. Sitä voi kuukausia tehdä 7 päivää viikossa duunia, mutta jossain kohtaa se seinä vaan tulee vastaan. . En aio toistaa sitä samaa virhettä, minkä oon urheilussa tehnyt. Tällä kertaa osaan levätä ja himmaa ajoissa🔥 . Mistä merkeistä olen huomannut alkavan uupumuksen? 👉🏽 Sisällöntuottaminen on hankalampaa, ei tee mieli aloittaa 👉🏽 Ajatus harhailee, vaikea keskittyä 👉🏽 Mikään määrä unta ei tunnu riittävän 👉🏽 Usko omaan tekemiseen hiipuu, negatiiviset tunteet ja ajatukset ovat todennäköisempiä kun positiiviset 👉🏽 Ruokahalu ja jaksaminen treenaamiseen on kadoksissa . Uskalletaan kuunnella sitä omaa kroppaa💎 Aina välillä voi kokeilla niitä rajoja, mutta sitten pitää osata palata siihen ”rutiiniin”. Mikään kone ei jaksa toimia täydellä teholla ilman lepoa. . Ootko itse kokenut uupumusta? Mitkä keinot on auttanut sua ”palautumaan” siitä?💜

Learning from the other cultures is something I truly enjoy. I spent 3 days in UK and this is what I learned: • • • 👀 The criminality in the neighbourhoods has been increased a lot so people are willing to pay over 25000€ for a well-trained dog, which is trained to protect the family. • • • 👀 In Austria people work only around 6 hours a day yet they are extreamly wealthy due to the higher salaries. Here is a sentence I didn’t expect me to say like EVERRR?!🤭 ”next stop: Lapland” • • • I mean to say in THIS context. I am actually going to move in there next😂 Our situation is a little bit unsteady at this moment so why not to add a lil’ extra 🌶 for that? And to be honest I am actually pretty excited. • • • When I was living in California I got kind of a hooked on to the feeling when you see something new. To the feeling when you explore. • • • And Lapland for sure offers an opportunity for that. And these views don’t look that bad, right?😁 See you soon 🍯💙
•OVERCOMING OBSTACLES• • • • Back in highschool I invented a rock solid stragedy that I am still using when Im having hard times. If I was struggling with sports (due to injuries, lack of motivation, bad season etc.) I started to put more effort to school instead. That way I got a little bit distance to the sports so that I could recharge my batteries (read mind) in order to improve the sports later when the timing would be better for me. And obviously vice versa. • • • This way there is basically not a single obstacle that could bring me down. I will always find a way to start focusing on something else. However, this doesnt mean that I quit immediately when something feels uncomfortable. Not at all! It is more like #adaptingtochange . For example when I got injured last Fall (or to be honest my shoulder pain started over a year ago in the States) I put more focus to the company that I created so that I would feel energetic and excited daily instead of feeling depressed. • • • So #adaptability is the word. Chasing big goals fuels our potential but there are still times you need to change them. So dont stick with the plan TOO LITERALLY! If you have a goal in your mind or would like to have, wait for a weekend! I will release my first #VLOG everrrr!! And it will be alll about the goals🔥💁🏼♀️ • • • I have been working a lot lately but soon I can slow down at least for a moment. •FS 3REPS @90kg in September• • • • What is the hardest part for you when being injured? Is it the fact that you know you’re going to take steps back instead of taking them forward? Or the fact that suddenly you realise how you’ve been taking all the previous healthy days for granted? • • • To be honest, it doesn’t matter. Because it sucks anyway. For me it has been a huge mindgame. Couple weeks ago I finally got a diagnose, but unfortunately it forced me to ask myself: how bad do I want this? What if I can’t do crossfit or most of the sports anymore? • • • Thank god the second doctor gave me a new diagnose. This operation won’t be a big deal at all. At least when compared to the previous one, which will remain as a secret😇 • • • So now I have two options: I can eather compare myself to the others or the previous me. And I’ll choose the second one. I know exactly were I went wrong, and that will be fixed this time. At this moment, I couldnt be more hungry🔥 • • • #gettingbackatit

Today I woke up without an alarm and decided to take a walk before breakfast. The weather was sooo beautiful so I took a longer walk instead🏃🏼♀️ I completely forgot that I was supposed to go to the Uni for a lecture😁Still no regrets. This morning definitely beat the statistics of the Finnish pension system👩🏼💻

•KEEP ON SMILING• From 5 hours a day to 5 hours a week. That pretty much sums up my training during the past 3 months... • • • Despite of all the injuries, I am greatful that there are still sports I am able to do without pain. Just no weightlifting nor any gymnastics for a while 😭 • • • However, I understand know why I have to go through all of this. (Yeas, I do understand that the volume in my training was too much lol) But the main explanation for ’WHY’ is that for the first time after my study abroad I had a lot of leisure time. (and ’some’ extra energy due to the decreased amount of working out) I’ve never been a huge fan of Netflix so I had to figure out something else. And believe me, studying more for my master’s, was not an option😁 • • • At this moment I am spending most of my leisure time for business planning. And I absolutely love it! Can’t wait to share my passion to everyone💜 #staytuned 🔥
I guess it's time for a little birthday post. I could say that after all these different phases in my life, at the age of 24, I couldn't be more happy or feel more comfortable of where I am standing at this moment. The secret of my happiness? After my study abroad I realised that my core values in life had changed. Or that I was just mature enough to admit them to myself. So at this moment I wake up every single day extremly happy, because I have a clear vision of where I am going and what I am pursuing. In 2018: - I WILL start my own business - I WILL start competing in crossfit May the upcoming year be the best one so far and I truly wish you'll find my journey towards those goals inspirational🔥🔥 #havethecouragetolivethelifeyouvealwayswanted
