I have to apologise to the wonderful staff at @divebarsac, I was mad at the situation, not at you or your establishment. . Here's the scoop: . I had two days to drive from Portland, Oregon, back to Fresno California. Depending on traffic, that's between an 11 and 13 hour drive not counting stops for food, fuel, or restroom breaks. . I already planned on making that drive over two days. I decided I do the bulk of the trip in one day and spend the night at Sacramento, California. I chose Sacramento for one reason and one reason only. I wanted to get a photo of a mermaid at The Dive Bar. . I left Portland around 9:30 AM. That's 9 hours to Sacramento on a good day. Factor in a couple hours worth of eating, refueling, checking into my hotel, and potty breaks, that puts me at the bar around 9:30 PM. It's a lot of driving, but getting a neat shot of a mermaid above a bar would make it all worth it. It was going to be a fun picture to share. . We hit road construction that slowed us down by an hour near Shasta and didn't get to the bar until 10:40. It's a bar, they're open until 2:00 AM, I wasn't too worried. . Last mermaid swim was at 10... Damn construction around Shasta caused me to miss the show. After a 13 hour journey, that's the last thing I wanted to hear... . I just wanted a neat shot of a mermaid above the bar, that's why I pushed through that crazy drive.
